If you like the open-world survival craft genre of games, you should try out Valheim.
It is a little confusing with all that is happening at the start, but thats how its supposed to be.
You are supposed to explore and find different things out for yourself.
If that is not your style, there are guides that can help you get started on the game.
Valheim can be hard if youre underprepared when fighting bosses or exploring new biomes, but with the proper preparation (armor, food, weapons...) it shouldn't be a problem.
If you don't like the grindiness of gathering metals for each armor set, I highly recommend you try out a few mods to help out with it, just like I did.

I've played up to the fifth boss with 2 friends, and I solo'd from start to mistlands in 40 hours, and honestly I've had no real problems with difficulty, even by myself.

tldr: game hard? prepare better. try out the game.
