Before I start, I want state that I am reviewing this as if you had no mods installed and only have the base game and not the Extra Song Pack DLC

Unfortunately, this is just another version of Future Tone, a game that released on PS4 back in 2017 like Mega Mix was on the Nintendo Switch. Is that a bad thing? No, Future Tone and Mega Mix were decent Project DIVA games respectively but I always considered them as spin off's.

Excluding Project Sekai because that is a completely different type of experience entirely, that means we have gone 5 years without a unique Project Diva game and 6 years since a the last mainline DIVA game which was X. It is realty disappointing that this is the fate of the Project DIVA series at this point

However, at the end of the day, it is still a Project DIVA game which means you are still getting one of the best non-mobile Rhythm game experiences out there. The custom T-Shirt maker from Mega Mix on Switch is back and a whole lot easier to use now since you can use your mouse to make your creations. Also, over 170 songs in the base game alone is nothing to scoff about.

I enjoyed Mega Mix +, but if you have played Future Tone of PS4 or Mega Mix on Switch, there isn't really anything new to keep you entertained for a long period of time. Honestly, if you can resist, wait for a price drop
