Open world with a good community, PVP option available to those that like it.

This game feels and looks like Dragon Quest games but without the artwork of Akira Toriyama. Still, the bright and colorful cast of characters are a treat but I do warn that this is traditional JRPG style in that many Western gamers may find this a bit childish and cutsie, but if you are into JRPG's then this shouldn't be missed. There are 4 difficulty levels with the easiest preventing from a "Game Over" screen. These also don;t change the outcome of the game so really anyone could play this from start to finish. Overall, I recommend this game for any JRPG fan.

Although this isn't a typical Final Fantasy game, it is quite large and visually stunning. However, this game feels more like WoW Classic with all the side (fetch) quests thrown in. They do take a page out of FFXII with hunts, but they are weak in comparison to that gem of a game. The story goes in line with the Kingsglaive (think I spelled that right) movie so be sure to watch that if you're going to play this game.

Overall, this can be a fun game, but if you're looking for the Final Fantasy you know and love, might want to skip this one. The repeated one-liners and bromance get old pretty fast and the characters are a bit, well, exaggerated in a sense that it may turn away some females gamers (the first female NPC wears shorts so small her butt cheeks hang out the bottom). These days, that's pretty bold and may not be good for sales but it is what it is.

My all-time favorite FF game with a great story, full of sidequests, boss hunts, and a TON of hidden content.
