Never heard of this game until I stumbled upon it in Steam, and quite an interesting game it is. Those familiar with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. will find the atmosphere in Metro 2033 familiar, though much more of this tale takes place underground, and is heavily based on the legendary secret Moscow tunnels. You do get to foray above ground in the Moscow ruins from time to time.

While the atmosphere, decent storyline and interesting characters are positives in the game, there are a few negatives.

- It's definately a console port. :-(

- None of the weapons feel like they have any punch, even the fully-automatic belt-fed shotgun and mounted machine guns.

- ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ filters! How do they work!? Gas mask filters, sometimes you change out your "old" filter with a "new" one, and it ends up the new filter will wear out faster than the one you replaced. Eh?

Overall, though, if you like FPS's, are a sucker for a capable storyline and well designed atmospheric locale, it's worth a shot.
