What an incredibly well done take on Stanislaw Lem's novel, not only in the telling of the story (from a new/different angle than from the book), but the visuals and dialog as well. They really brought the novel to life. If you're a fan of the book or even of the hard sci-fi genre, you will probably like it.

A throwback CRPG! Has some rough edges, but does a pretty good job scratching that old-school CRPG itch like Ultima I-IV, The Magic Candle, or Questron, etc., etc.. The main story line was solid enough to keep me going through to the end with a few shallow side quests thrown in that seemed to be mainly there to gain experience points.

The one nitpick I have is, graphically, I think they tried to do too much with EGA-style graphics. For the number of pixels/colors EGA provides, the graphics often got too busy and made it difficult to make what was being viewed at times. Sometimes simpler -- and clearer -- is better.

Good game built around a strong, well implemented climbing mechanic. If you enjoyed the climbing parts of games like Uncharted, you'd probably like this game.

Story-wise, however, it may not appeal to some people. It's a bit of a snapshot rather that a whole story with a beginning and an end, so expect to get more of a surface-level of understanding of what happened, and that entirely through notes and letters left behind by the former inhabitants. This also means there'll be a good amount of reading (there are no voice-overs). If you don't care about the story, you can totally skip it and just work your way up the mountain.

If you skip everything and just work your way up, I'd estimate around 6-7 hours of gameplay. I'm a search-every-nook-and-cranny guy, though, so I ended spending about 12 hours in-game. Also possibly worth mentioning, I played this entirely on a Steam Deck and it worked perfectly.

Pretty good. A slightly above-average whodunnit story intermixed with a few interesting sub-plots and a few spooky stories. Seems like they had some great ideas for ghostly "powers" but had trouble figuring out how to employ them in the game world.

Overall a solid game with good voice-over work and characters that will keep you engaged until the end. If you like a spooky adventure, this will fit the requirement.

Recommendation mainly based on the fact it's free.

Took me about 1.5 hours to get through, and that's a bit generous because I had to restart at one point due to a bug. The puzzles are fairly meh, where sometimes the hardest part is just trying to figure out the controls. Slightly creepy atmosphere with a few jump-scares thrown in. Overall, it feels more like a test demo that someone put together to try out some stuff.

-1 imaginary point for not being able to invert mouse Y-axis, and for not being able to flush the toilet in the bathroom.

But, as stated, it's free and it's short. If you're bored, why not.

Short but enjoyable. I love good escape rooms, but there are so few out there that are actually "good," but this one is. Looking at about 2-3 hours to play through on your first go, and the only replayability is just playing through the same 4 rooms trying to beat your previous time.

For US$4 ($3.99), I felt it was a pretty good bang for the buck. YMMV. Hopefully we'll see more rooms added on in the future, either as a patch or DLC.

Great demo for the Link controllers.

It's been so long since a Portal-like game has come out this really is a bit nostalgic.

Been using YNAB for the past year and a half, easily the best budget-management software I've used.

The approach they use to budgeting in YNAB is a bit different, and it took me a couple of months to really get the hang of it. Once I did, however, it really did turn my finances around. No longer do I just have a lump of money in my bank account that just disappears -- I know where each dollar is going or what it is going to be used for.

I've used Microsoft Money and Quicken in the past, without much success. The problem I had with them was that they were just too focused on the past: I would enter my transactions or, more recently, just download them from my bank. Then, at the end of the month, I could see a chart showing me where all my money went -- after it had been spent. I would look at it and think something along the lines of "Huh, I spent too much money on X. I need to do less of that next month."

Next month comes and passes, I download my trasactions from the bank, look at the chart, and think "Huh, I spent too much money on Y. I need to do less of that next month." And then next month comes and goes, and... guess what? Yeah, too much money spent on Z this time. Or maybe it was X again. And the cycle generally continued.

YNAB helps eliminate that behavior by not worrying so much on what transactions and expenditures you've made in the past (that money is already spent and not coming back, right?), but instead concentrates on what money you currently have sitting in your bank account: How are you going to spend that money? The idea here is that you assign each dollar a "job," bascially earmarking it for a purpose. You start with the neccessities: Rent/mortgage, electric bill, water bill, groceries, etc., things that *need* to get paid, and work your way down to everyday expenses like eating out or just plain spending money. By doing this, it makes you compartmentalize your funds; if you feel like ordering pizza one night, for example, you won't find yourself thinking "well, I've got about $1,000 in my bank account," but instead you will start to think something along the lines of "well, I've got about $75 in my eating out budget."

If you're not accustomed to truely budgeting your money (like I was), it does take a month or two to get the hang of figuring out where your money goes and assigning it appropriately. Once you do, however, it really is a great system.
