This is a Game's Game. The goals are clear every mission, the roles of the classes are clear, the sound is solid and the gameplay fun as random events happen, forcing you to make choices (until you eventually find the optimal way to do things) like "am I _really_ going to leave that Dwaft behind? Nah, I'm not" as you blow a hole in the enemies' forces to recover a fellow Dwarf.

Just a fun gameplay loop, with calm (and fun!) downtime in the mothership :D

I can _heartily_ recommend this game! No matter whether singleplayer or multiplayer, this is just a fun game.

2024-08-24:

Gave the game 4 tries to get to the first level. I guess it can't.

1. it crashed due to anti-cheat (some memory error) when starting up
2. it crashed due to some random ♥♥♥♥ when starting up
3. it crashed after I clicked outside the game (windowless fullscreen with 2 monitors is too much, I guess)
4. it locked up while loading the first level - I presume, because it shouldn't take 10+ minutes on a regular SSD to load a game. CPU was also 0%, so no idea what's going on).

The game is also kinda slow on start up, all to show a "Log into Steam" screen. that feels ridiculous as the first impression to the game. Then the crashes are just a no-go either.

I'm a programmer, I 100% understand this is an EAG, but as a consumer this is some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Never had the few EAG games I bought to _crash during startup_.

Right now it's a "can't recommend"; I'll try again in the future.

cheap, fun, easy to learn; hard to master, regular updates with new content.

I was afraid it was too much Rockstar and too little Payne, but I'm glad to report I was wrong.

This is still very much a Max Payne game, bald-bearded-Payne or no, so there are moments in the story where you'll go "Really, Max? You fell for that?", and there _are_ some minor annoyances (having to switch back to my large weapon after every in-game cutscene, and the game sometimes not rendering some minor models), but all in all can definitely recommend.

This is a "click where the game tells you to" kind of game, you know: Because it's a mobile game.

I usually don't like horror games, but this is one of a very few I *REALLY* like. Good action, nice horror feeling (not just cheap jumpscares), generally a positive experience.

If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. A continuation of the first game's story, better graphics, same-ish weapons and multiple suits to choose from.

I'm generally not a fan of horror games, but I like the Dead Space series (so far - I haven't played 3, but haven't heard much good about it)

Bought the game, got a sluggish menu (how, Rockstar? Even indie studios don't have that problem) and couldn't even start the damn game (I tried several "fixes" from other players) and eventually returned the product because after a buggy GTA IV: Frick that!

Do very much NOT recommend this game.

Great Tomb Raider game, IMO!

This game features a young Lara Croft, so that's a bit getting used to, but I think they've done a good job showing her grow into the Lara we knew from before!

The only downside is the bugs I've encountered:

* Camera getting stuck under the stairs I'm walking on
* Glitching through the wobbly mesh fence of that one elevator, without finishing the puzzle I had to do
* At a certain place that's very much on fire, I got stuck behind a set of boxes trying to climb up, was finally able to get free, climbed up the boxes again and fell to my death from three boxes high (???). The reason I died was because the game was supposed to trigger an animation when I walked into the room where Lara climbed up there herself...

Other than those *few* slightly frustrating bugs, the game was great!

10/10 would let a room kill me again.

Jokes aside: Good story with nice twists and turns as expected from a Deus Ex game, IMO. I'm sad to say that I think it's not worth the full (30$) price because of the by-other-reviewers-mentioned bugs/crashes/low performance. Get it on a sale for 15 bucks or so (assuming base game only).
