Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.

It's like Terraria little cousin.

Controls can be a bit odd to figure out and get used to but considering how limited this genre is, this game is a very welcome addition.

It's literally digital crack. Update: Still is!

Payday 2 has had a long journey and it's astonishing to see the game still trudge onward.

Pros:

+Quality Co-op gameplay
+Plenty of map variety and modes
+Caters to many scenarios and play-styles
+Surprisingly solid RPG mechanics
+Hours and hours of content
+Community still there

Cons
-Too much DLC
-Vanilla game limited in content
-Sync and connection issues (esp with Steam/Epic crossplay)
-Persistent bugs and graphics issues as game engine is outdated
-Driving mechanics are atrocious

A personal favorite of mine! An 80's style overlay of the original Far Cry 3 gameplay that's as absurd as you'd expect. Graphics are on par (for a rather aging engine), the setting and story fit well with the genre and style, and most mechanics are essentially revised/simplified from the original game.

There's obviously going to be issues with UbisoftConnect being required, a dated engine, and bugs (make sure to disable touchscreen if you have it). But I've been able to get my game working smoothly.

Overall, an amazing experience from a different time when even DLC expansions like this received the attention and passion they needed to succeed. Though the story is a little short (which is expected for an expansion), the overall gameplay and absurdity of the premise will keep you around.
