The game is terribly optimized for a port to Steam. I might've recommended it if the game was actually optimized better.

(Update 18/07/2024):
After re-downloading and playing it again, they improved the Steam version a lot since I've last played. Satisfied with how it runs now. Playing it over the Windows version since Steam shows hours better
