Bear in mind I solo'd the game and didnt try expeditions, so this all comes from a single player story driven gamer.

But I really enjoyed this looter shooter!
- Innovative system of difficulty rewarding players for defeating enemies at higher difficulties.
- Fun accolades system that encourages weapon variety and challenge completion.
- Varied weapon mods that can impact the gameplay variety of weapons, and each weapon type having a "variant" that affects how it plays (e.g. marksman assault rifle for high powered one shot, or tactical assault rifle for burst fire) Resulting in an admittedly limited weapons choice cosmetic-wise, but an incredibly diverse set of options gameplay wise
- The Gun play feels amazing
- The powers of the class I played (trickster) felt brilliant and truly encouraged a specific gameplay style (close quarters) but wasn't restrictive, with the correct modding (heal per shot or kill for example) a long ranged rifle was a real option for larger open spaces
- The enemy types were incredibly varied, and the sidequests helped the world feel lived in with the stories of NPC's, raging battle outside our main quest, criminal gangs, etc

I truly recommend this game, for the short time I've played it I've never once felt bored. If you're hesitant to pay the admittedly hefty price brand new, wait a bit. But for me it was worth the cost I paid, and I recommend it to you too

Early Access Review
[ FIRST IMPRESSION, PLEASE TAKE WITH GRAIN OF SALT ;) ]

Reminds me of the good days of star wars battlefront, except crisper, far superior space battles, better squad tactics and more variety in games. Combat is incredibly fun. Gunplay is very satisfying, everything just feels powerful, but the enemies never feel totally weak, I think this can be put down to a good balance of shields and health.

Best played with a few friends, but you should absolutely be prepared for just you vs AI's. The bad news is that the game is largely unpopulated, with nobody but me and my friend online when I played today. The good news is the AI is genuinely challenging to fight against in a way not many games can boast. Dying to an AI in battlefront was an insult, Dying to an AI in AFF is an opportunity to re-evaluate the map and choose a new approach.

The flying seemed at bit janky at first, and it took me a while to realise that letting go of "W" doesnt turn my thrusters off, so I had more than a few crashes as I desperately rubbed my 2 braincells together, but when I figured out 2+2=4 the flying was very fun, dont be put off, give it a chance, the space battles are very fun too.

The game is missing a few things, though I am playing in early access (whenever you all wanna release guys). It could do with some explanation of the 2 teams and the background lore, making the game more engaging, and it could do with some momentary speech at the end of a match congratulating the winner or egging the loser to do better to keep it from being so abrupt. But what it REALLY needs desperately is an in-game tutorial, it will direct you to video guides which do, but I want to play not watch hours of guides. Please add something in-game to teach the basics devs :)

In conclusion, lots of fun with friends, but be prepared to mostly play alone. The AI is challenging so dont worry about finding it too easy. balancing is good and gunplay is fun. I highly recommend and hope this convinces someone else to try it.

Love this game, straight out of my childhood, going through all the campaigns again and co-op with my buddies as we ran each other over with warthogs.

But that all changed when the Yap Yap the Destroyer attacked. Only Chips Dubbo mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless Unggoy. But when the world needed him most, he vanished...

Jokes aside love this game, only complaint is the irritating points and seasonal rewards system for multiplayer, but it hardly takes much from the game, just means I have to grind for nicer cosmetics.

Highly recommend, looking forward to ODST

One of my favourite more obscure titles. I was hooked in this game, an RPG with highly customizable armour and weapons, in depth world building, decisions that matter without a morality system, characters who are genuinely interesting and unique.
Playing a game like this was something I'd been really looking for. If you're looking for a story based RPG to kill a good amount of time in this is it. Satisfying combat, a little challenge on normal but not frustrating.

I highly recommend, well worth the money spent on it. Hell of an experience
