Great game

Game crashed during my first game. Doesn't bode well.

Possibly the most bland version of singleplayer Escape from Tarkov I have played. Very unrewarding experience.

I could really see myself enjoying this game, because Halls of Torment demo really sucked me in, but sadly not as Nordic Ashes suffers from terrible gameplay design choices.

I can understand not having dodge/dash mechanic, but with character being not much faster than the enemies themself is ridiculous and on top of that character takes a split second to actually reach the full speed which is just absolutely bonkers.

Boss fights suck - with no way of aiming or predicting a direction of character's attacks 80% of them will miss the boss, which makes the fight an absolutle unsatifying slog.

The meta upgrades are a headache to grind. It takes hours to get with them anywhere meaningful.

Online doesn't work. I keep getting "failed to create a game". Tried different solutions and none of them worked. This is an old bug and still hasn't been fixed.

Just a shell of what it used to be. The game is dead (10 lobbies and 8 of them were private) and that's during free weekend. The devs are cluelessly updating and abandoning the mess of remakes they have created and at this point straight up milking the franchise.

If you're looking into getting yourself familiar with motosport this game isn't a way to do so. The tutorial explains how different mechanics work, but doesn't explain how to tackle encountered problems. Doesn't explain how the races really work either - had to research that on my own. I've spent an hour or two reading up on guides, but no matter my choices as all of it boiled down to RNG which had the biggest impact on the outcome.
