This is a fun goofy little time. I frequently had trouble figuring out what the next thing I was supposed to do was but I learned that if you just give everything a good old punch then keep traveling the circuit of the town you'll eventually get where you're needed. Hard to imagine the town survived my "help"

Such a genuinely fun game so far thats ultimately 100% worth slogging through the bad stuff for.
Pros:
- The hunt is fun as always with new weapon abilities and the weakspot mechanic to mix things up. Multiplayer is good, though theres a major drawback with how its implemented with the main quests
- All the classic things I love about monster hunter with very interesting and cool monster designs, kaiju fights, and the cutsenes where they are introduced are usually awesome
- Good game with incredibly immersive and cool worldbuilding

Cons:
- The railroad style main quest design is VERY frustrating and the characters aren't written interestingly enough to warrant the long cutscenes of characters talking about nothing.
- Multiplayer is stop and start in a way that makes playing through the main missions with your friends very difficult. Once you start a cutscene/railroad mission you can't invite your friends to join you until the actual hunt starts (if there is one) and you can't join a hunt while its happening. When all of your friends are currently doing the main quests it leads to a lot of solo hunts or careful planning so you can help your friends who are behind.
- Optimization isnt great, though my computer handles it mostly fine.

This game is so genuinely good. It plays like chinese roguelike borderlands and has some crazy build paths. Bonus points: the only thing that costs extra money is DLC characters, which are relatively cheap and well worth the buy. I noticed a season event pass in game and expected to see some kind of new in game paid currency but nope, you can unlock a small amount of weapon skins, emotes, and effects by spending the same currency you get for just playing the game.

PLEASE support these guys.

I'm doing my part

This game has serious problems with stupid predatory monetization and some gameplay issues that will have to be ironed out (too many 50/50s, kinda a masher's paradise, some characters are overtuned). However, the game just came out and I'm hoping some of these issues will be resolved.

At it's core this game is a fun Tekken experience and is pretty much the only active Tekken experience at the moment. The characters and story are wrestlemania-tier goofy fun, the combos feel good to learn, and most of the time the core Tekken mindgames are still there. It just needs work.

You're either going to love or hate this game. Its obtuse, it doesn't explain much, its lore is deep but easy to miss, and it's BRUTALLY difficult. The reason for this is that this isn't just a survival game - its an ecosystem simulator. The creatures sole existence isn't to stop you, its to live their own life and survive somehow in this uncaring world. The lore is easy to miss because it's written into the history and locations of the world you're desperately scrambling through. Its its weird, its janky, its brutal, its serene, but above all its an experience. Life, uh, finds a way.

PROS:
- Tight casual class based shooter with masterfully crafted classes (mostly)
- Extremely memorable and memeable characters who will savagely roast you and your opponents
- Thriving community that dwarves some other multiplayer games even 14+ years after it's release
- Hats

CONS:
- The one valve developer still putting out updates is only interested in hats every 3-6 months

Accidentally burned my cat to death with a massive fire storm then killed someone with its corpse. 10/10 would hit someone with a dead cat again.
