The most fun I've had playing a platformer in a long time. A unique set of mechanics in a fresh throwback styled world. Loved the game for its music, design, and gameplay. There is a story but you aren't really keyed into much on it. For some that may be a small annoyance (only because I want more) or it may be better because it is left up to the imagination. A game that does the basics of gameplay extremely well and pairs it with great music, visuals, and setting. A barebones fun game, for a well worth barebones price (especially when on sale).

Revising my review after updates have fixed my main gripes with the game. It is now functional with its only issue being servers unable to handle enough players at peak hours but outside of those times I don't have to wait to get into the game any more. I still have an issue with a PvE game having a kernel access anti cheat when that is completely unnecessary for a game of this kind though. Because of the anti-cheat I will keep a negative review to get a message across but if you have no quarrels with people having access to your entire PC then the game is amazing fun, especially with friends.

TLDR: Amazing fun game but server issues at peak hours, and sketchy kernel anti cheat.

Beautiful visuals, an intriguing story, a gut punching ending (for me), and all in a short package. The only thing I wish was the ending wasn't left open ended (I know doing that has its merits though). Highly recommended and a game I wont forget.

Fun game but crashes every time I get to the second big lamp. Can't recommend a game that doesn't even let me play.

Bought this game while on sale for $5 and I would say the game is very much worth that $5 personally. I'm not a big rougelite fan, not against them, but I find that losing my progress in a game always feels crappy. Even with me not being a big rougelite fan the gameplay, style, and music kept me playing. Simple to control but hard to master, I found that even with such simple classes and mechanics there was lots of room for strategy against enemies, terrain, and team composition. Combine that with it being randomized for what you get in a run or if you even can or do go for items and other units, I can imagine hours upon hours of gameplay and fun. While I didn't play nearly as much as I'd like to, the small moments here and there where I boot it up and play for a bit are always fun and entertaining. If you like similar games well worth the full price and even if you don't I implore you to pick it up while on sale.

Apocalypse Now meets the moral complications that drive what Six Days in Fallujah (hopefully becomes) is. A gem that I wish I played years ago when it came out. Amazing soundtrack, a story that keeps you guessing, a setting that keeps you captivated, and characters you come to learn and like. I did slight modding to the FOV, mouse accel., start up movie, etc. like many recommend and it makes the game feel much better by modern standards. Even without doing that (extremely easy) modding I highly recommend this game. Starts off and looks like any old 2010's fps set in the sandbox but its a bit more than just that.

Never played back in the day and finally got around to playing in a server with friends. My entire playtime was all spent on only one character, one server, and one playthrough of all the bosses. Got absolutely carried having beat the Moonlord before I ever even learned how to make an anvil, but I still had a blast the whole time fighting the bosses with new weapons and armor as we progressed. Super unique game and the music is absolutely amazing as well.

Any game, show, or movie that makes me ask questions and gives me that itch to want to know more like this does, is right up my alley. A quick, fun, and intriguing story that is well worth the money in my opinion. I want more cool but small games like this in the world. The art style, the setting, the unraveling plot, and of course the dogs make it an easy recommendation from me. (I did get skill diffed a bit in a certain part that requires some sledding skill but the game will let you skip if you are a coward unlike me.)
