A very enjoyable tool to help you get started playing guitar or bass, or to keep finetuning your already existing skills.

With plug n' play standard 1/4" to USB, there's no concern for any audio interfaces and effect pedals - you can with ease switch to different devices that has the game installed. You can emulate various AMPs and effect pedals ingame at your own leisure.

Dynamic difficulty is enabled by default, and lets you keep up with the song without riling you up that you missed most of the notes. Although I'd personally suggest disabling dynamic difficulty once you're settled in, so you're provided with all the notes of the song and get the opportunity to learn the whole song.

There's also some basic lessons, various arcade games and a session mode where you can jam with instruments of your choice. New songs get added to the game on a regular basis.

If you're curious about guitar or bass, it's an excellent way to find out if there is genuine interest behind that curiousity as it is very addictive once you get past the basics and it will keep you playing for years to come.

As for cons, it mostly comes down to the technological limitations, it's designed to be used with onboard audio so you cannot utilize any soundcards. Then there's the slight delay that comes with the connection, as opposed to instant feedback plugged directly into an AMP - but it's negligible for the average player and you won't be thinking about it once you get started.

Highly recommended for anyone interested in starting off playing guitar or bass, and anyone who's into the ease of access of being able to jam classics whenever you desire.
