Recently, I've been taking a dive into the horror genre of gaming. IMSCARED sticks out to me, however! This game utilizes a retro, 2D artstyle while maintaining the ability to keep the player on edge. The art design is very creepy and unsettling. The sound design in IMSCARED is especially frightening, from the sounds HER and White Face make, to even lack of sound at all, making the game feel all the more unsettling. The few music tracks you hear throughout the game added to the atmosphere of the game very well. This game made me yelp and scream several times, as there are many sequences where frightening images suddenly appear, accompanied by loud audio, so if you aren't a fan of jump-scares I wouldn't recommend it. However this game is a very intriguing art piece, and I enjoyed playing it very much! I found myself saying repeatedly while playing this game, "I'm scared." 8/10.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is one of the most engaging horror games I've played! Recently I've been getting more into the horror genre, and Amnesia has to be one of my favorites. Although the game was originally released in 2010, it's aged quite well as a video-game. The ambience, sound, and visual design are all spectacular for their time. They come together to create a very eerie and creepy environment, very successful in keeping players on their toes at all times. This game also incorporates the use of tricky puzzles that players must solve in order to progress, although they were very challenging, it was very enjoyable once I finally solved them and progressed from area to area. The methodical storytelling in Amnesia is also unique and interesting, as you play as the protagonist Daniel, who is suffering from amnesia; you discover and learn all of the awful things he did. This game is definitely strong in its rich storytelling and deep lore, and overall I enjoyed Amnesia: The Dark Descent very much! 9/10.

This game was very amazing! It seems to make a commentary on issues such as anxiety and mental health, and the messages it portrays are very positive and nice. I went into this game expecting a horror, but finished it rethinking a lot of things. I'd recommend this game to anyone! 8/10.

This game was an artistic masterpiece. The visual design is unlike any other game, absolutely stunning. The visual storytelling this game offers is such an amazing experience, rich with emotion. This game had me hooked and I played through it in one sitting. Definitely one of my favorite games. 10/10.

Very good horror game! Some mechanics in the game can be puzzling and take a while to figure out, but in the end it's worth it! This game tells a pretty interesting story, and delivers psychological horror in a very unique and entertaining way. The writing for this game is quite spectacular, although some spelling errors exist; (But I'm unsure whether or not they are intentional.) Throughout the game some of the jump-scares can be repetitive and predictable, but overall this was a very enjoyable horror game! 8.5/10

This is my all time favorite video game. In it's simplistic and minimal design it conveys the story it is trying to tell through mostly narration, telling a very emotional and deep story about the person who created the games you are playing through. This game is so incredibly beautiful at times, yet also so abstract. The music composition for this game is also amazing, and I would recommend this game to anyone and everyone. Not many games make me cry, but this one sure did. The Beginner's Guide is amazing. 11/10.

Well, Mario von Rickenbach has done it again.
If you're familiar with Plug & Play, then you probably already have a general idea of what this game will be like.
The only real con of this game being the short playtime of about 25-30 minutes, (Although I can understand why it's so short, as if it were much longer players might lose interest.) I would recommend this game to anyone. Visuals are nice and simple, and the music is very beautiful. I find this game to be a step-up from Plug&Play, while keeping true to the style.
I recommend playing this game, and if you haven't already, playing Plug&Play as well.
These games seem to have underlying metaphorical meanings, and with this game I think it communicated very well. To me this game is trying to communicate how children are apt to follow along and do what others say in order to fit in with the crowd, and how this can be an endless cycle. Although the game was not as shocking as P&P, I did find the playthrough to be enjoyable and interesting. 8/10.

This game is art, and hits close to home. Peace & Love Games have definitely done an amazing job with this title, and I can't wait to see any future games they may release. While puzzling at times, the experience of this game although simple, is artistic, and excellently crafted. 8/10.
