I've owned this game since the closed alpha, been through the mess that it was to get closed alpha keys, and let alone the mess that the closed alpha it self was. And yet despite that, somehow 3 years later, they release a game WORSE than the closed alpha was, the game was stripped of its identity, functionality that was there since day 1 of the closed alpha is gone, the zombies look worse than a doom 2 sprite (not to insult doom, it's a product of its time, says a lot about this game), I mean seriously silent hill 1 had more polygons. Devs run through every excuse they can to try to void themself of true blame, "review bombing" they say, no what they're experiencing is people who were passionate about this project they were building. fed lie after lie, that the devs were "more proud of this version of the build than the closed alpha", that the users "don't understand the woes of development". The woes of development is that your management can't manage anything. It's embarrassing, please spare yourself £33.50, go buy something else, I lovely take away meal, or a hoodie. Either will give you longer satisfaction than this abomination of a game.

You want clarity as to whats wrong?

- Zombies don't work
- Cars hardly work
- Guns sound horrendous
- Broken animation
- a tiny map with little to truly explore
- game runs terribly
- Game settings arent even labeled
- you can't swim
that's scratching the surface of my 0.3 hours of experience with this alpha, truly and embarrassment for this development team.

go play vein instead, it's free, show's way more promise, and actually has talent behind it.

Visage is a beginner game and that is it, there is too much hype around a game that fails to hit so many marks, and falls down a generic path, and I will explain why.

Introduction
To start off, when I first booted up visage, I was thrown into this world that actually seemed quite scary, an empty dark house, with what feels like someone watching over you at all times, I started off with lucy's chapter and the first time I was truly thinking "Oh this is about to be real scary" is when I went downstairs, into the living room. The TV turned off, and wouldn't turn back on, then suddenly it appeared, there was lucy, awaiting my arrival down in the basement, just standing there, ominously, so me being intrigued and stupid, decided to head straight down to the basement, and sure enough, I can hear heavy breathing coming from the general direction she was in. I thought to myself, do I head down there? I could come face to face with this horrible ghost or maybe there'll be nothing there, but what if I'm just rounding a corner to my own death, and as I turned that corner into the room... There was nothing there, this entire segment, is what I hoped from then on the game would replicate, this essence of thinking that you know something is there, that you've been shown it, and now it's your time to confront it. But not even 5 minutes later, my first hint something was wrong happened. I walked towards the hallway again, and there she was, lucy, standing not 12 feet infront of me, and behind her, with a flash of the camera, a demon. Seems like a scary scenario right? aha, you're wrong, you see visage has decided that during a moment, that they could make me run and hide, instead, they'll just place a huge invisible wall between me and lucy alongside her demon friend, just ruining the tension in that scenario, and this won't be the last time.

Lucy's chapter
Lucy's chapter for most people will be there first, I have already covered the intro segment to lucy, so lets skip to midway, You see visage has a huge problem, it can't decide how it wants to shaft you, will it leave you with no clue what to do? Aimlessly walking down the same hallways until something clicks? or will it trap you into a room, and just force generic dialogue down your throat? So lets talk about the first option, lucy's chapter will be the first time you are introduced to what I like to call the void. Now the void is when this game decides that with no explanation, they just want you to do something, that they know you need to do, but you would never know unless you've played the game before, some people may call this puzzle solving, I call this a poorly made story. There's a segment, just after you walk through the paper door in lucy's room, where you are chucked into yet another room, filled with cupboards, wardrobes, and drawers, of course you have no clue what's going on here, so maybe your first thought is to go to the end of the room, and sure enough, there's a door, it's locked, requires the bird cage key, and nearby that door is the groaning, heavy breathing, lucy, oh no, what do you do? Did you miss the key on your way over here? Where could it be? How are you going to find it with this menace in the same room as you. Well here's the thing, lucy is the equivalent to a walking bag of potato's, she will fail to do ANYTHING, to you, bar just exist to groan in the room. So now your job, is to just check, every single drawer, until you eventually find the key, this is not fun or rewarding, you are not teasing the players brain, you are just making them do tedious tasks. So now let's cover the next issue, forcing dialogue, within this same chapter, you will walk into a tree house, after looking around, you'll find an item, and then, the game will trap you in the tree house, all you will hear is lucy's demon friend, trying to convince her to trust him. Now this again would not be an issue if, the player wasn't already aware of this fact, the entire game, during this chapter, you can walk around the house, and lucy's drawings will clearly tell you the story of a girl who is being controlled by a demon, I do not have to be trapped in a tree house for several minutes to understand this fact. Overall gameplay and story wise, I would give this chapter a 5/10.

Dolores' chapter
Oh look, a potentially better chapter than lucy's that's good. But this chapter also takes the worst aspects of lucy's chapter and turns it up to ten. Let's make it clear, the story it a million times better, not just some generic insidious "the demons told me to do it" story. and you can feel as if the story is being told to you throughout your exploration of the chapter, but one of the chapters strengths is also its biggest weakness, the mirrors. Dotted around the house you will find mirrors that you can smash with a sledgehammer that you find, these mirrors are cool, they feel like portals into new areas, a way to expand the house further than it's own boundaries set in lucy's chapter, but it all falls short, because this game will expect you to either memories where each of these mirrors are and where they go, or to try your best to wander around and pray you find the right one that you need in that moment. Easily of a first playthrough, you may spend HOURS, searching around this house, because it just doesn't make sense. Honestly reviewing this game I just feel as if I'm repeating myself, and it's because this game just falls into the same bad habits, there's a section where good old granny dolores is talking to you, asking her to get you her special tea. if you were observant you may of noticed a little box you need to open, if you weren't good luck finding it, but anyways, in this room, once again, there is an invisible wall between you and dolores, but why, why can't I just go explore this room, it seems interesting, I want to see the rest of it, if there's nothing there, let me find out for myself! Don't put the immersion breaking invisible wall there, just to tell me I don't need to be there. Overall I give dolores' chapter a 6/10.

Rakim's chapter
Rakim is the biggest flop of all of visage, dear lord I won't talk about this for too long. Here, crazy man get stalked by scary ghost that hurts him, people say, this man crazy lock him away!, crazy man kill. That is the entire story. So gameplay, oh boy the gameplay, here's how it goes, did you just find an item? RUN, crazy man is after you, did you just solve a puzzle? RUN! the crazy man is after you, did you just walk down a hallway? RUN! the crazy man is after you, and every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time that you run from him, it's just a set path, clearly indicated, like, I'm not going to get lost and caught if you just tell me where to go every time, this is poor gameplay, you may be thinking to yourself, hmm this sounds familiar! You are so, so right, this is a btec outlast chapter, just constantly on the run, but rather than outlast, always in a set path, always clearly indicating where you need to go to avoid death. I give rakim's chapter a 3/10.

The tapes
The tapes are an interesting concept, you find them around the house, and they will start up a small segment of the game, necessary to finish the game, it'll show on the TV a clue as to where you need to be, but you guessed it, good luck figuring that out, again. Besides that factor, dear lord, this is SO generic, it pains me, visage just pulls a horror game moment, a real "what's that you're a father with a wife and children?, well here's a little trick! you're an alcoholic and a drug abuser!!", this idea, is done so, many, times, I don't need to hear the same kind of story again. and my god they will drill this point into your brain, I swear to god, 90% of the tapes are just "you are a bad dad, cos alcohol!!!111!!", over all a very unenjoyable segment, 2/10.

If you are coming into this game expecting the dark descent v2, it's probably not the game for you.

Amnesia: Rebirth Review
After finishing my play through of the game I have found that it's great atmospheric wise, I hear a lot of people complaining about atmosphere, when what they really mean is they want more adrenaline pumping horror. For those that waited so long for that, this game is not for you. Instead this game feels more scenic, with occasional dark descent moments.

When you first play this game one of the first things you'll notice in the cave is that you do not have much in the way of light. The matches that are given to you feel like they last 2 seconds in the grand scheme of things, and once you do get your hands on the lovely looking lantern, it becomes very obvious that oil is scarce and you cant rely on the lantern either, this usually leaves you in a situation where you are sat in the dark with no source of light except for the occasional room with a torch in it.

This feature can be aggravating at the start when it just causes you to constantly lose sanity and cause flashing images to pop up on your screen for what feels like forever. However after my first two hours I got used to making sure I only use my matches to light up torches when I needed to, and as such that feature became less apparent during my play through.

Monsters and puzzle solving
From here on out there will be spoilers regarding the game if you don't want to see them don't read this review

The monsters in this game look amazing from the wraiths down to the Ghouls, they are all creepy and well designed. The way they work feel like the perfect counter to what ever you are trying to do, whether it be trying to get to an item, or being forced to escape from them when you want to go to a specific place, it doesn't come off as a cheap way to extend the game.

When you first get introduced to the first visable monster its within the fortress, where you may be exploring and notice out of the corner of your eye, the first monster holding onto some railings and staring at you from afar and scattering when you get closer.

These, at first, seemingly harmless creatures, will begin to chase you later in the game, and when they get a hold of you force you to "black out" and run further back into your play through. I didn't like this at first as a much preferred the way of dying in TDD, however once I got used to it, it wasn't that bad.

Skipping through some key plot points to atleast keep the game interesting to you, the discovery later on, of the cave that our old friend Daniel once ventured into, is a nice little bit of back story to what is going on, with you able to find messages of his directed to alexander, from the first game.

The alien parts of this game look phenomenal as well, with the large sprawling open areas making up for some of my favourite looking parts of the game.

The story may be a tear jerker for some as well, which helps get some people to become engrossed in the game and it's story, further pushing my point of this game being an atmospheric game with story much like SOMA more than TDD (Which has upset some fans but I enjoy).

I wont go much further into the game as I want to leave something for the new players to enjoy and get into.

And for any of you that may find out the code to the super secret file, good on you.

Albeit I only have 302 hours in this game, I feel like a review from a person who's still getting to grips with the game would be nice.

So here's what I have to say.

For those of you who still dont know this isnt a CSGO counter
When this game was still new to the market a lot of people were telling me, "It's a better CSGO". Let me clear this up, this game especially now, is not a CSGO competitor, I can say this with certainty, I've sunk 2000 hours into CSGO over the years, and when coming back to this game, they couldn't be more different. Sure you have the basic stuff such as its an FPS competitive team based game. However thats stripping the rest of the mechanics away. Aiming, gun play, character abilities and map style, is all stuff that differentiates this game from CSGO. So if you are a hard core CSGO fan, it's not guaranteed you will enjoy this game.

Mechanics
As mentioned a lot in this games reveal and through the presentation of it, this game has destructible maps, you cant level an entire building down, but you can make some home improvements, whether it be a few holes in the walls, or getting rid of a wall entirely. This helps make the game feel fresh every time that you play it, and can bring a new strategy every time, even if you are playing on the same map.

Operators have their abilities, which all have their own way to shift the tide of a game, the base operators are still great, however Siege is having a little bit of an issue with releasing new operators who are basically just recycled old operators, they have their perks, but they can also just feel a bit weak in comparison to the older ideas of the operators.

It's not too friendly to new players
Like I said prior, if you are a CSGO player, this wont be to hard to wrap your head around as you had your first day on CSGO before, and its not that friendly there either. But if you are a new player, all of this information that's being chucked at you, can come off as a bit overwhelming and overall, can somewhat take away from the gameplay experience, there is a section for new players called "Newcomer", However this limits the maps that you can play, and also chucks you into the deep end once you reach level 50.

I personally would recommend to new players that they go consume as much Siege content as humanly possible, so that when they start getting into quick play or even ranked if you want to risk it all, you will know what you are doing.

Be prepared for toxic team mates. That's right there's no escaping them, especially in siege, you will find people who will somehow, someway always manage to bring up your KDA or your rank, even if you happen to be doing better than them. All you can do is ignore them, because they all like to get on a high horse about their ranks, even if they are boosted.

Do I recommend it?
Of course, albeit this game has its issues and its bumps, these are things that we are seeing ironed out as the years go by. Currently Rainbow six: Siege, is probably in its best state for new players, you don't have annoying lean spam, or too broken of operators. We are in a gold era of siege where things presumably can only get better.

So if you're looking to buy this game, then go ahead, get it now while you can, and sink as much time into as possible so you can try become the next best player. Or just have a bit of fun in Quick play with your friends. There's a lot waiting out in this game, so try get the most of it.

I rate this game an 8/10

THIS IS MY OPINION

This game is great, and is worth way more then what they ask for as payment, I would recommend this to anyone who is the fan of the survival genre.

Pros:
- Good quests
- AI works great and are fun to fight against
- Factions are a choice, but can also work off what you decide to do, for example killing a person and looting them, makes you a looter, killing a looter as a looter makes you a traitor.
- Great fun when played with friends, but can be played solo.
- Looting is enjoyable.
- Skill system works of what yo do with your player, not a level system.
- Easy to sink hours into.
- Good framerates, especially considering I have GTX 750 TI

Cons:
- Players will camp you! This can happen from time to time, and is annoying, but you can get over it.
- There are a few bugs.
- getting a cold is all but too common, and hard to counter, anti-biotics are hard to come across.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to find a fun survival game, that can be played solo or with friends, and its only £8.99!
