I will be pushing for refund under the terms of the game being altered/content removed that negatively impacts the original premise of the game. This was done after any "Early Access" period. Regardless of if Steam will take the refund seriously won't be my point. I suggest anyone who feels like this is a bad move by greedy publishers should try and request a refund under the same terms. We shouldn't allow for things like this to go unpunished. Otherwise it becomes the standard and not the exception.

Decent time waster, but poorly thought out. The game feels like it was abandoned halfway through development. Progression stops once you get the Money Counter L for each currency—after that, there's nothing meaningful to do.

It pretends to have depth, but most systems are shallow or pointless:

The workbench has no real use.

Marked bills are a neat idea, but the Money Counter L makes blacklights useless.

Cleaning dirty money is just a repetitive chore with no automation.

The time system is meaningless—you can skip everything by sleeping.

There are hints at a larger operation with pallets, jacks, and lifters, but the small play space makes them irrelevant. Even the big "Vault of Truth" is just extra storage.

Worst of all, it's easy to soft-lock yourself. Paying off debt with the wrong kind of cash can block mission progress with no way to recover.

Overall, it’s mildly entertaining at first, but quickly devolves into a shallow, repetitive grind.

Gameplay is fun but the game is incredibly easy. I've beaten 4 shards with s-rank on every level... its kind of insane.
Pros:
- Music is fantastic
- Running feels good
- art is nice
- im really searching for more but i cant find any more real pros...

Cons:
- the items... ugh. All rougelite/rougelike games (of this era) are built on good items... these items seem like they were shoehorned in near the end of development with no real thought. You can quite honestly stack all boost items and never go for anything else and you're fine.
- The "Slay the Spire" style map is really kind of pointless here. The items are trash so there's no need for shops. And its so rare you even get hurt enough to care to waste your time at a campfire unless you just wanna rush to the boss faster. It's honestly kind of just ♥♥♥♥. Would have been better making it just a line with item picks at the end of a level...
- The repetitive nature and how easy the game is is a real negative to me at least. The only challenge ive had was getting bad proc gen maps and getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by a random wall you cant get around without losing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of speed.
- Oh. yeah the proc gen is terrible ALOT of the time. None of the biomes are really interesting at all either.
- Same goes with the bosses. Out of 4 shards 2 bosses were pretty much a duplicate of each other with a palette swap... come on bro. That's minimum effort if ive ever seen it.
- The items you buy with the anitshards from characters are pretty mid. Just sticking with the board is pretty much the best option in the end. Maybe the jump one. Idk, kinda boring there too.

Overall i think the game is fine but i'm honestly really disappointed. 6/10. The game feels half-baked and that's me being nice about it. At 20$ there are much better roguelike games to waste your time on with much more depth.

I'm kind of annoyed by the amount of negative reviews from honestly silly complaints. The game is good, really good. It is a newer improved Dragon's Dogma. Anyone expecting something other than that is just not informed. The MTX is minimal and i wouldn't even know about it if it wasn't from all the overblown complaints. Understand that. I WOULDN'T even have known about it. Everything you can purchase is found in game so there is absolutely zero need to purchase anything. Sure, does it need to be there? No. Is it making the game actively worse? Also, no. So stop with the review bombing over something so minuscule.

The performance, however, is something i can't attest to. I've run into zero crashes nor frame drops the entire time i've played the game. I'm on newer hardware with drivers up to date. So don't expect this to run well on last gen hardware.

Now, with all those 'issues' taken into account. The gameplay is masterwork. The Pawn AI work with you well and always do the smart things in combat. Buffs, support, protection, and even understanding your playstyle over time to better support your playstyle as you go. The story so far is fair but i wouldn't call it groundbreaking. I'm not shocked as DD1 didn't really hit on that note either. It's serviceable as a vehicle to enable the RPG and fantastic combat mechanics in the game. If you want a new open world RPG with great combat, fun questing, dungeoning, and a real since of weight and gravity then just get it. See how well it runs for you. Refund it if it runs bad. And please, for the love of god. Stop listening to the whining minority screaming about 1$ microtransactions and poor performance on their 2018-2020 hardware. Its a good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Early Access Review
Legitimately a fresh take on the genre for once. It's a literal mix of Oxygen Not Included and Terraria. You manage your rat citizens like you would in ONI with the same needs and such. However, now you're on the ground and able to do all the actions your rats can do! So no more down time. You can keep working while they sleep or queue up orders and do parts of it to speed up the process. It's really very very promising and im excited to see where this goes. Good show so far Cassel!

Early Access Review
Too many reviews wishing it was squad. If you want WWII squad then play Post Scriptum. This is it's own thing. Of course its a bit more casual. It's now intended to be that way. I think it's a good mix of Squad and Battlefield styles of gameplay. Of course it needs adjusting to fix issues here and there but overall its pretty solid.

!!BE AWARE!!

The anti-cheat in this game is garbage. Ended up losing about 100+ dollars.
Was kicked because I did better than what i usually do and that can trigger a "Possible cheat".
Got perminently banned for no reason. Tried to get my account unbaned and feel free to explore these horrid tech support pictures.

Each is read bottom to top. Have fun!

First and foremost the gameplay is solid and feels great... the only issue is the ending. The story (In my opinion) is so vague and told so strangly that some of the parts really dont make much sense. It just seems like one of those strange art pieces that no one is truly supposed to understand but in game format... and to be completely honest its pretty meh.

gameplay 8/10
visuals 10/10 (great art style and setting)
story? 4/10 (just my opinion. Your mind might get things more than i did... who knows)

All-in-all i'd give it a 6/10
Gameplay is great but it has been done before and its much too short for the asking price and the story is REAAAAAALLY hard to grasp and is probably just an artistic thing.

(was asked why i thought the story was strange and had inconsistances so i added a few points that have spoilers so SPOILER WARNING!!!))

Yea, i know my oppinion isnt very popular but i do still believe in it. And if you dont mind spoilers i'll tell you why i think the story is a bit off and too vague and more of an art piece than anything.

1st: Where is the kid running to? Why is he being chased by people in masks when the people in the end didnt have any but he kills them anyways?

2nd: The set pieces where diverse (slightly) but how they arrived at each one seemed VERY strange. Of course you can only do so much with setting changes in a 2D platformer but it doesnt change the fact that you should be able to go straight from a farm to the inside of a small factory then out a window and into a city in like 15-20mins... like what?

3rd: Why did the swimming children that want to drown you help him at the last second as he was drowning? You spend a good portion running from them and all of a sudden for no explained or legitimate reason one drags you down to the ocean floor and, grabs a random plug from no where? and plugs you into it and swims away allowing you to breath underwater indefinitely now? Doesnt really make much sense.

4th: When you get to the "Supposed lab" why does no one attack you even though random civilian looking (i guess monster people) choke you to death with no remorse if they see you for a split second and again why do they not have masks?

5th: What pull does the kid have to swim into the tank with this horrid blob of human flesh that all the scientist people are all drawn to and try to unplug it? Morbid curiosity? What was his main goal??? No one can explain.

6th: When you get sucked into the blob and start controling it why are the scientists helping you when you killed them and destroyed all of their work? Example, when you are about to get into the (supposed scientist leader's) office why do they pull the air pressure block for you when you throw it to them and then push it back to you to help you get to the office? And why did it seem so climactic when you killed him even though you literally knew nothing about this random unmasked (like the rest you've seen) orginization of scientist people? And the ending??? wtf is with the ending? Its like "Oh yay, you finished rolling down a hill after escaping this random lab you found so lets end it where you just sit on this coast with the sun setting while ur just a blob with wiggling arms... thanks for playing".

So again, there really is no clear explination of the story and a few inconsistencies for me to give it a solid story rating. BUT if i somehow missed something please let me know. Those where just observations i found that threw me off.
