Bethesda is rotting; devouring itself whole as both carcass and vulture. This game has become the greatest evidence of their design philosophy's' failures.

I would write a full review here, but Bethesda's high-level staff have made it clear that they do not care about what their customers have to say. They mock fans urging them for improvement as crybabies, openly show their dispassion for their own franchises by laughing at the idea of staying consistent with the foundational pieces of lore written back when their franchises were invented, and constantly seek to further monetise us at as little expense to themselves.

I do not wish for Bethesda's downfall, because the franchises they own are some of the most interesting IPs out there and I simply do not wish to leave them quite yet. I hope Bethesda can take this as a wake-up call, and begin internalising the feedback their customers give them rather than openly mocking their efforts and passions.

If this game had been released by an indie studio, it'd have been praised for its potential, but lambasted for its clear laziness. Do not buy for any price above 10 USD, because that's what this experience so far is worth.

Don't Starve Together (DST) is one of the most unique and stylistic survival games out there. Whilst most of the crafting-survival genre tend to blend together gameplay wise, with only one or two elements seperating them from others, DST takes it in a whole new direction. Using the same gameplay and artstyle of the original game, it expands on it by including the Reign of Giants DLC and occasional special events.

With its sprite-based, drawn isometric artstyle, you'll see no end of the creative, horrifying, or creatively horrifying creatures and landscapes that this world has to offer.

Ark: Survival Evolved really immerses you in a world of wonder, though that usually will be followed by confusion and rage, however, as you progress, you'll find it quite exciting to play this game.

PVE servers usually host the friendliest of people, whilst PVP can get you that extra bit of challenge.

If you love learning about a lot of extinct animals, then you'll like this game. It's in-game models do give a sense of what it would have looked like, whilst the dossiers address any sort of alterations the game made to them, allowing you to get a pretty safe and well-researched idea of the dinosaurs.

Its DLC, Scorched Earth, adds another layer of difficulty on it, and will certainly put even the best of veterans to the test of survival, whilst also expanding on it with all new fictional creatures.

What also is a major pro point of this game is the developer's non-greedy attitude. Whilst there are timers (sometimes huge) on taming dinosaurs, there's no way to artificially speed this up with in-game purchases, and when they decided to make a steam community map into a full-on DLC, they decided not to ask payment for it, as it was developed by the community.

With another DLC coming up, I'm looking forward to it and the new exciting monstrosities it will bring.

On the con-side though, the game doesn't explain much, and dino levelling is a bit arbitrary for when a dino spawns, it's given a random level, no matter where it spawns, meaning that you can spawn and run directly into a level 90 dilophosaurus, then into a level 120 Carnotaurus. Without proper explanation how the game works, this can lead to new players being left confused on how to survive and stay that way. This game, through the fact that most of your time you need dinosaurs to get materials effectively, puts more advanced players directly at an advantage, which can severely inhibit your PVP experience as you can be wiped overnight with no way of protecting yourself.

TL:DR;
pro's: -Good gameplay
-Great dino diversity
-can teach you a thing or two.
- Devs aren't greedy
- Still content upcoming
- Good community

Cons: -PVP offers zero protection
-Areas do not mark difficulty, dinosaurs with different levels spawn randomly
- No explanation on how to do things in the beginning, best you have are hints on how to tame dino's in the Dossiers.

Early Access Review
Nosgoth is a good concept and great game, though the gameplay can get lacking quite fast due to the current lack of objectives and general things to do. If they'd added some kind of campaign where multiple matches were linked together or if there were secret missions you could do then it would be a whole lot more sustaining.

So it's a good 7/10 for me
