Devs are currently reverting the game to day one and redeveloping it in accordance to how it should've been done the first time around, as an actually good game. Leaving this as a good review unless they ♥♥♥♥ it up again, fingers crossed they know what they are doing now.

TFE have done an amazing job improving on the shortcomings of the original and making this game a huge step closer to the game that OG burnout fans (and likely TFE themselves) have been dreaming of for a very very long time. This game really reminds me of a nice hybrid of the burnout 2 and 3 crash mode - and with current gen graphics it really is a new spectacle to watch everything around you get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by your own doing.

Only real critisicm I have at the minute is the UI seems a bit basic, it's just white text. Personally would add a bit of a black back gradient against the back just to make it pop out a little more. All things considered though I'm really impressed by this game and cannot wait until the next step closer to the full succesor of Burnout that we all want.

It's quake, bit of a twist with the champion abiliies but at its core (and most of the rest of th egame) it is quake and it is amazing. Please keep in mind it IS early access and all these things (e.g. bots only as fillers) are going to be changed - a lot of people don't follow the development cycles and don't see bots are being released in stages etc etc.

We built a base and then accidentally locked ourselves inside, and then slowly starved and froze to death.

Good experience, honestly.

Started my adventure as Bottas Waters, a former construction worker with a low-tolerance of alcoholic beverages.
Found some food, other basic supplies and a fork to use as a weapon.
I ventured outside, and found my neighbours house sitting empty across the street. Unfortunately, his doors were locked, so I smashed the window and entered. A zombie came out a closet so I stabbed it in the eye with a fork and it died, but my fork broke too.
I then found a rolling pin, and used that as a weapon from thereon out.
Looted some more cupboards, and noticed my character was getting slightly thirsty, so this was my first major introduction into the true survival aspects of this game. Fortunately, I had a drink in my inventory.
Misclicked, drank bleach and died.

No, just.... no.

Whilst this game may not look very.... impressive, playing in-game provides a rather fun experience. It's a casual, easy(ish) to pick up bowling game, with powerups and all.
Different game types - whilst they not vary too much, still provide a nice amount of variety in terms of gameplay.
Where I say ish in terms of the ability to pick it up, the controls at first seem rather wonky, and as my younger cousin says "Can I turn down the mouse?"
After you learn the controls, which aren't really hard to learn at all, it is overall a fun game and worth the buy, although only if you have additional person to play aswell.

This isn't an "ordinary" game, casual gamers, those who enjoy the likes of TF2 or, basically, anyone who doesn't play these types of games will most likely struggle to understand this game at the start. However, through trial-and-error, and by watching tutorials, this game becomes an even more amazing experience than it was beforehand. This is definitely worth the money, nothing is more satisfying than your first landing on a celestial body.
