Runs very poorly on specs beyond recommended. I suggest waiting for patches or mods to fix performance issues.

Everyone knows about the performance issues. If you have a lower-end PC, I would recommend waiting until these issues have been resolved. As for the game itself, this is probably the best base game in the series so far. I have been playing since Tri on the Wii, and loved the updates to the series made with World. Wilds continues on the path of streamlining the experience. Monster variety is great, environmental design is beautiful, and progression is satisfying without being overly grindy (until the endgame). Overall, if you are new to the series, this is probably the best game to start with. If you're a veteran hunter you've probably already completed your endgame build so why are you even reading this?

An absolute classic that still holds up 14 years later. If you are a fan of open world games, great writing, and western movies, look no further.

F.4.A.R.

A truly massive addition to the Dark Souls lineage. Despite performance issues at launch, this is one of the most engaging open worlds out there. If the concept of "Open world Dark Souls 3" interests you even a little, look no further.

The best Monster Hunter game yet.

Reach on PC. Enough said.
