Saw this in a sponsored Aliensrock video, and it looked fun, so I bought the game
I do wish it was a little easier to go for specific builds (prioritize showing items that synergize), but it is still very fun
I like building around the space I have in the backpack
So far, I have gotten a win with every start, other than Offering Bowl Pyromancer

My favourite build right now is Duffle Bag Berserker Wolf Badge, mostly because the puppies are cute lol

This game is a masterpiece
Better than some AAA games, recently

It takes 3 game genres and melds them extremely fluidly.
- Pal Capture mechanics just make sense, and the fact you can capture the people in the evil organization is HILARIOUS

- Base management reminds me of Thaumcraft 4 golemancy; the Pals will do the tasks available, if they have the capability

- Exploration is fun, and refreshing; Anything cool will probably be shiny and very visible. Night is very dark (shocker), but there are still ways to see at night, like a glowing Pal or a torch.

- Combat is very typical of a survival game, if you don't use your pals, but is much more fun using your pals and fight in conjunction

Only 1 complaint that I have:
Not all keybinds can be rebound, but that may change in the future

At the time of this review, this game is in very early early access. It is amazing that this game is as fun as it is.

One concern that I have is that this game becomes abandonware, as it is a pattern for this studio, but the enjoyment I've had playing with my friends is already worth every penny.

TL;DR
Funny fun game, 100% worth

I have over 1000 hours on the switch
Comparatively, the Steam version is much smoother and images are more crisp
I'm excited for the new expansion coming out this summer

If you like suffering, this is the game for you

It's great to have in the background while you do something else, and then you come back to everything being extinct

If you're new to the game, prepare yourself to be beaned on for the first like 20 hours, and then you'll start to get good and learn maps and you'll be the one beaning
