Early Access Review
This was SO much fun. Obviously it's light right now with only 2 stages and 2 monsters, but the "extra boss" option adds an extra layer you've GOT to try. It's nice and spooky, I love the art style, the monster design, etc. Would like to see the actual gameplay mechanics expanded, and possibly stage size a bit. But either way, provided this continues to be supported and get significant amount of new content, it'll be worth $10. In its current state, I recommend it, BUT with the caveat that I don't feel like it's quite worth $10. Once they add 1 or 2 new stages/monsters, I think I'll call it worth the price. Time will tell, but this is one to watch and the devs do intend to add more content over time.

It's MGS3. YES, buy it if you want to play it on PC. It's far from perfect, though. I'd recommend downloading the HD audio mod from Nexus, and search Google for the mod to make it borderless fullscreen (full and windowed are your only native options).

I had as much fun with my first session of this as I did with Lethal Company. This game is like Content Warning if it were actually fun. I can't say how it will stand the test of time in terms of replay value, but it is so worth it for the price. A lot of fun with friends!

Ooooooh, this one was GOOD!! Dark and heavy. It's like Fears to Fathom but FAR less cozy. Very well-done horror game based on a true story. Some quality jump scares and tension-building, and a persistent creepy vibe. The visuals in TBTT so far have been phenomenal. It's very polished, a far cry from 616's other retro-style games, but it's still got some strong retro vibeage going on, and the environments all feel full, detailed, vivid, and lifelike. The sound and music were on point in this one. Zero complaints, all love. 10/10.

TLDR, INSANELY scary, really good story, great graphics but poorly optimized, awesome audio, needs more checkpoints. And JUST USE DIRECTX11!

Holy. Effing. Sh...this game is TERRIFYING. Like, so scary I just wanted it to be over the whole time, lol. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it, but this was P.T. or Visage-level frightening for me. I haven't been this overwhelmingly scared by a video game in a while. The story was awesome, too, and the sound really lends itself to the oppressive atmosphere. Absolutely bonkers. Bravo, well done Chilla's Art! Yet another banger.

My only complaint is that once you first get to the apartment, there's not an immediate checkpoint. My game crashed and I had to start over in the park (the beginning of gameplay). Very frustrating, so between that and kinda poor optimization it loses a point and a half. It does look amazing, but still with that classic Chilla's touch of jank to the textures, reflections, and shadows. I suspect Chilla's leaves that in more as their distinctive style at this point than out of laziness or lack of polish. Anyway, just run the game in DirectX11, DirectX12 never works worth a crap for anything I've ever played where there was a choice, and I've heard the same from many a Redditor (lol, so take that fwiw).

Cursed Digicam is a 10/10 as far as the story, scariness, pacing, visuals, and sound...but the limited checkpoints and poor optimization bring it down to an 8.5/10 for me.

This game is so freakin' cool. I think I'm at least halfway through now, and so far the story and characters have been extremely intriguing and engaging, and the mystery and massive question marks and weirdness all just combine to create this bizarre mosaic of an amazing narrative and fantastic horror game. The fixed camera angles can be a little bit frustrating at times when transitioning between them, but it's a very minor gripe and my only one so far. And that said, the fixed camera lends itself very well to the experience, just like the older Resident Evil titles.

So far it's not the scariest thing I've ever played, but the weirdness and sense of unease and the occasional jump scares or "something-creeping-in-the-background" audio make it well worthy of the horror genre. It feels like some Katamari-esque amalgamation of elements ripped from across decades of horror and adventure gaming. General vibe-wise, it reminds me a lot of Homebody and Telltale Games' Walking Dead series, oddly enough. And the voice acting is solid!

Thanks to the publisher/devs and Lurkit for the key! My audience enjoyed the first stream and I'm enjoying the game.

Hear me out: this is the BEST SCP game I've ever played (or watched someone play...)

My SCP journey up to now has consisted of Containment Breach, 5K, and a lesser known game called SCP Descent. I love all 3 of them and am grateful for the experiences, and I've enjoyed others I've watched as let's play videos...BUT there's a common thread amongst most SCP games that seems to be its signature--what I refer to as "the jank." This isn't wholly a bad thing--most of the time it's actually endearing--but every SCP game I've played so far was pretty janky in one way or another. They also don't have much of a story, at least not with the depth I usually look for, as an avid videophile and once-upon-a-time bookworm. I've been addicted to well-crafted storytelling since before the early childhood memory dump every brain performs.

What I find most refreshing about Go Home Annie is, while it's still got its quirks...it doesn't come with the drawbacks of "the jank." This game is polished, and the characters and story are simple but compelling and engaging. This is a well-crafted narrative. The graphics won't blow the recent years' AAA horror game remakes out of the water, but they're really good, and they're always aeshetically pleasing and detailed; they just FIT. The environments feel like everything's right where it belongs...so to speak. The voice acting is fantastic, and there are a few great scares and the occasional drawn-out sense of dread and suspense. A pervasive air of mystery and intrigue hangs on throughout the game, like one of those dots in your vision you can't get rid of--except it's a question mark instead of a dot...or that just-barely-audible-but-nonstop ringing in one ear from a lifetime of heavy metal enthusiasm.

This game's just great, plain and simple. I got it for free (thank you so much!), but had I not I definitely would not have regretted my purchase. This is an awesome game!

About 3-3.5 hours into the game and loving it. The story and level design feels like a Metro game, the gameplay feels like what I think a VR version of Metro should feel like, gun handling is nice...idk, I'm tired while writing this, but it's worth $40. Got the key through a Lurkit campaign. I would've bought it had I not held out for a key (thank you btw, the first stream went very well!), and I wouldn't have been disappointed watching that $40 go bye-bye.

Oh. My. God. What a unique and fantastic horror experience this was. I did have some minor glitches early in the game that required a restart, but very few issues after that. Definitely had some rough frame drops when the, um...RAIN...came, but no crashes or anything crazy. Everything about this game was bizarre and unsettling, and the end was one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a horror game. 10/10 without the minor issues I mentioned, 9/10 with. Nothing about the gameplay, pacing, story, etc. left me wanting for anything.

Awesome game! For the price, it's a steal. Had some great VA in it, especially the voice of Nathan Walters, the POV/protagonist. Awesome visuals, effects, and environments. Great atmosphere and a surprising amount of world-building for a ~45-min experience. There was a nice handful of brutal jump scares that felt appropriate and not cheap or contrived. Great tension and pacing and that growing/persistent sense of dread that only the best horror games can illicit. The lore links it to the game Mother Hub, which is another one that needs to be on your radar (wishlist!). I played the Mother Hub demo and it's incredible. Looking forward to seeing more from ODale in the future, and REALLY excited about Mother Hub!
