With every update the game has gotten more optimized, consistent and fun.
Could call it a finished game by now, but by the time the devs think so as well it might be a masterpiece.

If you're just looking to drive around in a ton of different cars this game is worth playing.
The map feels a bit uninspired but it's alright enough.

But as soon as you start thinking about any customization it completely falls apart.

It is technically possible to make anything you want but be prepared for it to be the least enjoyable and most unintuitive thing you've ever done.
The livery editor and menu's are so bad it almost completely ruins the game.
Set your expectations the lowest you can and you'll still be disappointed.

It would seriously be easier to just edit an exported texture in microsoft paint than use the tools this game provides.

Great game, too bad about the companies in charge of it.

As addictive as gambling.
Might be because it's largely gambling.

No matter how good you get, the inconsistencies in item behaviour, AI and hitboxes don't always make it a fun game.

The most chill, charming and inoffensive game on steam.
Some of it might get repetitive if you're trying to go for 100% but it's a great game nevertheless.

Great visuals, soundtrack and setting.
Fun handling but maybe a bit too loose for some.
Surprisingly good selection and modification of cars.
Even the AI is tolerable this time around.

The best Need For Speed in the last 15 years.

Arguably better than the real thing.

Awkward level design, falling through maps, missing sounds, randomly timed enemy spawns leaving some areas empty for actual minutes before something that is supposed to spawn finally does, cursor not being locked to the game on fullscreen, weapons becoming obsolete quick even with upgrades, worthless default controls and an absolutely useless 3D map and menu.

Really wanted a game like this but this borders on an unplayable mess.
Genuinely dumbfounded at how this game has >95% positive reviews and revived the franchise.

Everything that made the original game fun plus a whole lot more content.

Which makes it all the more disappointing that the game is even slower paced than the original making it borderline too slow, barely functional automatic gearing with no support for manual controls let alone an actual stick, unpredictable physics, trucks loading in under the map on game load and the goods and trailers attached staying permanently buried under the map for the rest of the game unable to be removed, graphical and control issues every time you alt-tab, an extremely unintuitive and useless mission/contract selection menu, inconsistent progression and missions that are way too easy to break with cargo going missing and are then left impossible to complete, and worse of all, no signs of any of this being improved in favor of uninspired, and unnecessary DLC.

If you haven't played the original yet, I 100% encourage you to play that instead.
