It's a very fun game to play despite the "outdated" graphics and well known bugs.

EDIT - I bought a GPU, so I won't be updating this often

DISCLAIMER
First of all, I want to make clear that I've done tons of reaserch in the web.
I've read almost all reviews(negative and positive), googled CPUCores as well as the aforementioned ProcessLasso, even the /r/PCMR.

Did ou really spent your money, on THIS?
Yes.
As I said, I've done research almost everywhere before purchasing this.

Let's start with the Steam reviews:
  • Recent: Very Positive
  • All: Slightly Positive
As I could see, most of the negative reviews are from people with high specs, wich is kinda useless, or people saying that there are more softwares for free that can do it better, Process Lasso, that its easy to do it by yourself, etc, etc. Point for
CPUCores.

Process Lasso
I know that its a free software and whatnot, but think a little bit. Do you really think that a "FPS Booster" would be free and 100% effective? If it is so, why would it have a puchasable "Pro version?" As you can see, it has a "30 day trial", after that it, it wll no longer be 100% effective. How do I get to be worthy then? Buy it. Process Lasso, Razer GameBooster, or whatever software you use, it will never be 100% free or effective at the same time. 1+ CPUCores.

/r/PCMR
Looking down in the /r/ ,for me, it's just a bunch of people crying that you must buy a GPU to run games, that windows can manage the application priority and whatever. People where also saying about Startup Tim(AKA CPUCores guy/Developer). that he was a scammer, with the DimmDrive, the giveaway and whatnot... People even doing death threats(???) for unknown reasons. Sorry the language, but I think that is just a bunch of kids that got rEkT. CPUCores has a total of 3 points right now...

Okay m8 , but... You can do it by yourself, by changing the core/priority manually or creating a .bat file
Yes, it is true.
But I dont have such knowledge to do it with out ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my system. Even if l could, how much time would it take to do it, EVERY SINGLE TIME I WANT TO PLAY A GAME? As Tim said in the forum posts, "why would I make a pizza from scratch if I can just order it?" Same applies to CPUCores. Why would I do it mannualy taking hours(for me) if there is a software that can d it automatically with a single click, knowing that it will hardly ♥♥♥♥ up my system?

Yeah, but the price is TOO DAMN HIGH
IDK about you, but I value Tim's hard work to create the tool, as well as the possible education he must have had to learn how to do it. Mabye you'll understand when your working on some project, giving your life for it, losing your time, etc... I bet you would like to receive a "reward" for it.

FINALLY, My review:
My specs (♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop/notebook):
  • Intel core-i3(3110M) 2.4GHz
  • 4GB RAM
  • Intel HD Graphics 4000

Games Tested:
  • Rocket League: Didn't saw an actual framerate boost, but I got pretty surprised that, suddenly, I got to play it on High settings, smoothly.

  • Dishonored: Actually my framerate never got below 30, when plaing the game, wich it always used to be around 25-30 fps, with CPUcores, it got around, 30-35, wich is totally playable, and enjoyable.

  • Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier: Sadly since the game is pretty demanding, and badly optimized, it went the same thing, 10-20 fps.

  • Tomb Raider(2013): I got pretty amazed(Confused) when the game ran in smooth 40fps in the more intense scenes, with tons of action and whatnot(FPS: 30-45)
(I'll test it with even more games, such as BF3 and ♥♥♥♥ like that, will update the review as I play the games)

(EDIT):
  • Battlefield 3 (I'm not crazy enough to buy BF4, since I'm sure it won't run): The game itself is really demanding and unplayable on low specs PC(10-25 FPS). Luanched with Origin, and It's WebHelper, had to use the process listing in CPUCores, when the game loaded only had to "CPUCores it" the bf3.exe. got up to 30-35 FPS on the lowest settings, at 800x600 (up to 50 sometimes in lower res). Totally playable and enjoyable. Even in low res, it's fine to me.

  • Fallout 3: The Game runs totally fine whitout CPUCores, however I noticed a slight FPS improvement while exploring the Capital Wasteland (the open world outside dungeons, buildings, etc). Sometimes it got up to 40 FPS, even when in Downtown DC Ruins :o

  • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit(2010): Also runs totally fine at mid resolution, never dropping below 30 FPS. While CPUCoring it, just got a little improvemet on the min FPS(now, up to 35)

  • Overwatch: Runs around 50 FPS W/O using CPUCores at lowest settings possible. Havent' played it while using it, but, probably, it will inprove the peformance a little bit.

PROS:
+User friendly interface;
+Steam integration
+Can use It with-non Steam games
+Can Use with other softwares, such as video editor
+Really does FPS improvements, based on your CPU AND the game
+Achievements

CONS:
-Some Alternative languages are badly trasnlated ("Steam" was translated to "vapor" in PT-BR, literal translation lol)

Improvements
-It would be interesting to have a built-in FPS counter/benchmark, so we dont need to use another software while testing it.

Overall rating: 9/10

So, is it worth it?
First, keep in mind that this will not GIVE you more FPS, but only use all of your CPU potential. In other words, if you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ processor, don't expect to start playing GTA V or The Witcher 3 right away. If you want to to play highly demanding games, you should buy a better PC, or whatever.
Keep in mind, also that it depends of WHAT game you'll be playing. If it is a GPU demanding game, and not A CPU demanding, I'm sorry but this will not help you.

If you have this in mind, go ahead m8

Also, TY Tim, for making my games enjoyable.

9/10 too many hackers
