I don't even know where to start with this masterpiece.

Ever since 1991, this game has amassed an amazing group of loyal followers who enjoy perhaps every single installment of the game. This is one of those video games that only gets better and better with each sequel. It's a competitive puzzle game, and when I mean puzzle, you gotta think carefully and use your head to carefully but also swiftly stack your puyos in such a way that you'll be able to make create amazing chains as they erase themselves one after another.

AND IT'S SO SATISFYING WHEN YOU LAND A TWO DIGIT CHAIN AND WATCH YOUR OPPONENT DESPARATELY STRUGGLE AS THEY BECOME BURIED IN A HEAP OF TRANSPARENT GRAY BLOBS.

(Or you can just play normal Tetris too, that works. Yeah.)

Words really can't describe this game, really. It's something that you have to experience on yourself. If you despise puzzles and can't stand competitive battling, then I can't really recommend it to you. But otherwise, I URGE you to give it a shot. There's a reason why it lasted from 1991 all the way to 2014 when Puyo Puyo Tetris was first released. And believe me, the fanbase only increases with each passing day. This game is legendary.

Admittedly, I'm biased. Yes. But with good reason. Trust me, this game was worth about $50 in yen back when it was first released in Japan and it was worth every single cent. Or yen, every single last yen. And while it's not the most favorable port and there are some glitches and bugs here and there, the overall experience is still amazing. This is absolutely worth the $20, and with a full functioning online play, you'll get much more out of the game than what you paid for.

Lastly, I made a group of this very franchise in 2013 to express my love for the game, and hoped that a Puyo Puyo game will eventually be relased on Steam. So you could probably imagine my excitement when this finally came out.

To sum it up, the erase-cute-blobs-to-send-garbage-to-your-opponent playstyle is very well received by a good majority of the people, both in and out of Japan. I do hope that you'll give it a try, because I'm almost positive that you'll end up enjoying it more than you originally thought.

I couldn't reach an envelope that fell on the pond.

I told myself that I don't want to break a stick off a tree because damaging trees are bad.

I then proceed to steal a key from some stranger's bag and hope that will lead me to somehow reach for the envelope.

I've written a large wall of text explaining why this is such an amazing game, but Poppo stole it.

So i'm just going to say, take my word for it and just buy this rage-inducing boardgame!
