1,800 hours, still only Supreme

10/10 would waste my life and still be bad again.

ABZU was an absolute joy to play through. However, it is definitely an "experience" rather than a game, just over an hour and a half long

Giant Squid's Oceanic Adventure game made me feel a wide array of emotions during my short time with it, including wonder, tension, elation, sorrow, and excitement. All of this is achieved with NO dialogue whatsoever; only gorgeous graphics, well designed environments and a enchanting OST to boot; a massive achievement

One of the main reasons it's successful in doing this is Austin Wintory's superb soundtrack which accompanies the game and dynamically changes depending on your actions. His soundtrack combined with the awe-inspiring visuals instill a sense of wonder in the player

I can't give many details about the plotline of the game as it would give away too much. However, many people have likened ABZU to games like Journey, which was directed by the same person and I concede that it is similar; despite me enjoying ABZU massively more than Journey.

The main complaint I can see people having is the short length of the game but I see it as a plus, it is just as long as a game like this should be.

In summary, if you don't mind shorter "experience" type games I cannot recommend ABZU enough. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it

TL;DR: Gorgeous game, Wonderful soundtrack, combined with emotional pacing and tension.
