I found a rock along the beach, as well as a torch a bit inland. After coming across a tree I begun to swing madly at it with the small, fist sized rock in my hands. Smack after smack. Thwack after thwack. I slowly began to degrade the bark and the wood underneath as my onslaught continued onto the plant. Eventually, I had weakened the wood enough, and tore out a chunk of bark and inner wood. Using some of the vines on the tree, I tied my rock to the jagged shaft of wood and created a makeshift hatchet.
