Still waiting on that workshop support they've been planning to add since 2015.

The claims that you can rebind keyboard controls aren't entirely correct. You're able to change around what key controls what via the custom settings in each individual game (Yes, you have to manually change the control settings for each individual game rather than being able to set them for all games at once.), but you're not able to set new keys for use as controls.

Seriously though. LC1/2 had full customization. MM11 had it. MMXLC1/2 had it. Full customization options aren't hard, and Capcom has included it many times in the past. The lack of full control customization in this LC just screams that the PC port was considered a afterthought at best.

I'm loving one of the career goals in this game.

You must capture a hundred ghosts. Ghosts are only generated when a patient dies. A game about hospitals... And one of the goals it to let your patients die.

I loved this game up until I found out that their is a limit to the amount of gun parts you're able to own.

I'm not that far in on the campaign though, so maybe the game gives you the ability to order specific gun parts a bit further in?

In the meantime though, time to start selling off my parts collection. Their are, admittedly, a number of 'useless' parts that can be sold off (Looking at you 1-long and 3-box), but still... It's a big annoyance for a otherwise great game.

As much of a mess that RA3 made of the series, this game manages to salvage enough things to make it enjoyable.

Though, admittedly, that's mostly because I love the Commanders Challenge mode. Love it in Generals ZH, love it here.

The game still looks like ♥♥♥♥ (Seriously, how the ♥♥♥♥ did EA manage to do that with how beautiful CnC 3/KW looked despite them being the older games?), but CC is fun enough for me to overlook that.

Unfortunately though, their isn't exactly much love to be had for the series after EA made that one game that all CnC fans ignore the existence of.

As much as I love this game, my opinion on it is neutral due to two specific issues.

The first is how the game starts to lag like hell starting on the midgame. This is admittedly due to some of the mods I've added, but all they are doing is exposing these flaws. But yes, after a point the game runs like complete and utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with monthly and yearly hangs. The reason? The game doesn't make actual use of my PC's hardware. Checking resource uses pegs the game at 2.5 GB ram, and only 25% cpu use delegated to a single core.

The reason this pisses me off so much is because of the previous reason to restrict the game to 64-bit. They've decided to switch to 64-bit, but they are NOT making use of the additional resources this would provide.

Yes yes, I know... It wouldn't be immediate. But they easily could have held off on the switch to 64-bit for a number of patches pending further engine changes that would actually make use of the system resources that the switch would open up to them.

The minimum CPU's are another issue entirely, considering that they list a hexa-core as minimum (Which is, admittedly, overblown despite the poor performance of the FX line - A more appropriate listing would be the FX-4300), and the game can't make use of more than 1 core? This is especially egregious given that the games recommended specs were changed two years post-launch to recommend a Ryzen 5. Seriously, why boost the recommended requirements when you're not going to bother to make use of that hardware?

And my second issue is with how many mods currently function. X-path, or some similar system, would - while not preventing all of them - take care of a majority of the incompatability issues that a lot of mods have with each other due to direct overwrites of core game files.

A cheesy and slightly buggy space sim, made as a 'sequel' to Iron Sky. Also rushed out the door, with the games development being announced in Auguest 2012, and the game launching in December. But yeah, speaking of sequels... Iron Sky got a legit movie sequel. The reviews were... Well, not good is putting it lightly.

Anyway, the 'deluxe' edition bonuses are implimented half assed at best. Steam CAN detect owned DLC, so the deluxe edition in game bonuses COULD have been applied to a save when starting a game... But no, that takes effort so lets just require seperate codes for the in-game bonuses. Oh and because reasons (Little money, gotta push this game out quick!), lets half ass that too by making users have to manually copy and base the codes to seperate them, and then require them to type em in by hand in game instead of letting them copy and paste the specific codes in.

As for the bugs, well... Achievements are broke af. Look at the stats screen? Achievements break. Save and exit? (And then have to close the game out via task manager, because it freezes up when trying to exit) Achievements break. Die? Achievements break, again.

But yeah, for a supposed 'advanced space sim', things are... Extremely basic. No real advanced manuvers, no ship customization to speak of (Well, other than being able to swap between ships.), just... Basic. Very, very, basic. And if you want to use a joy stick, well... Yeah, no real compatability with em, despite that generally being something that other space sims would come with.

It's a good thing this game generally goes on sale for ~2.00, because that's about all it's worth.

Am I being extremely harsh on this game? Yeah, I am. But when the game says it has high replayability (It doesn't, unless you count broken achievements that make you play through the game again as replayability), resource management (Yeah, uh... Just a single resource, salvage, that really doesn't take much if any management.), advanced AI to challenge pilots (AI is basic af, I've seen far better ai in space sims that have come out a decade ago), innovative energy management (Yeah, route everything to weapons, or shields, or engines. Thats... pretty basic actually, and I've seen far more complex systems in games that, again, came out a decade ago), and blah blah blah. You get my point, it's trying to pass itself off as something complex, challenging, and innovative when in reality about the only thing it has going for it is cheesy comedy and 'omg space nazis! (Also, quick clarification... When I say a decade ago, I mean in refrence to the games launch date, not the review date.)

The last news update this game got was back in July of 2017, stating that we'd get 'more detailed info soon'

One year and four months later, the only thing we've gotten are sale announcements.

With a complete lack of communication on part of the developers, this game comes off as abandoned. I guess that the entire lawsuit debacle killed their will in regards to this game, despite the flush of sales they had for it from people who supported them.

I suppose that, in the end, Alex Mauer wasn't entirely wrong when she claimed this company was shady.

As for the game itself, well... It's fun and worth the money but at the same time their are many more games - Complete ones! - that you could buy instead. Better that imo than giving it to a company that has left this game to rot. I'd personally recommend any of the Alltynex games or Crimson Clover.

Edit - So, here we are. Five years later, and with what to show besides another bit of abandonware and a dev team that took the money and run?

Requires internet connection on game launch, not just game activation.

Your internet is out? You can't launch the game, at all.

Edit - Yes, it lists a internet requirement to 'activate' the game. However, the game was previously launched and activated. The game is ALREADY activated on my account. A internet requirement to launch the game is a bit different than a internet requirement to activate a game.

Compared to 4, this game is 2 steps back, one to the side, then two more forward.

Overall though, It's a worthy sucessor - Sure 5 does some things worse than 4, but at the same time it was nice to see Kalypso taking a risk and changing things up a bit instead of keeping the same old formula but with improved graphics and a couple new buildings like 3 and 4 were over 1. (As for 2... Well, lets just say that I can kinda understand why Kalypso reverted back for 3 and was afraid to change things up for 4).

As for differences between the two games, well... I'm not going to list everything, but I will mention a some notable changes.

1. Building is more grid based than it is in 4. ymmv, but to me this is a good thing.
2. The almanac kinda sucks compared to 4.
3. Farms and ranches are signifigantly improved - Animals no longer wander all around like in 4, and when setting up a plantation (farm) it'll show the area it'll use for crops.
4. Wind turbines got chopped out and were brought back as DLC. Yeah. Geothermal plants are (i guess?) intended as the replacement for both turbines their solar plant sucuessors from the MT dlc, but still... Kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that it was reintroduced as paid dlc.

Overall, the changes in T5 come across as being done as a attempt to simplify things - most of them work out to be beneficial, but yeah... Keyword, most.
