I will preface this by saying, this review is coming at it from the perspective that normally this costs $20.

For that price, I cannot recommend it. It's a very cute little game and you can definitely get a few hours of fun from it but that doesn't save it from the fact that the price is a bit too high for what you get compared to a lot of other offerings (including actual Peggle).

However, if and when it goes on sale, then I think it is worth grabbing if you're interested in the premise or at least to support indie devs. Overall, I like the game but was a little disappointed by how short it was despite how long it's been out and the price it normally goes for.

I originally reviewed this game when I had less than 10 hours. I am now approaching 900 hours and all I can say is bravo to the Embark team.

It can be easy to forget that this is their studio's first game and the level of polish and developer outreach has been amazing.

Season 1 was a blast and everything felt new

Season 2 set the pace for how big the seasonal updates would be

Season 3 was a lull but introduced both Emerald and Ruby skins which gave people a reason to grind during the off season

Season 4 has been a great return to form keeping the best parts of the previous seasons.

Season 5 was good for the overall balancing and bringing the game into a more enjoyable state.

Season 6 has been a blast with more of the same fun gameplay as before but with a few new ways to express yourself in various playstyles.

(Side note, I have spent more money on this game's cosmetics than any other F2P game since the original Overwatch)

I wish that I could look past how bad this is for the sake of my nostalgia. But I can't. It's really bad dude...

It's the epitome of "fine" for a modern CoD game to me. Time to kill is low enough that the majority of the guns felt the same.

However, I still refuse to accept that a series which has such frequent releases could justify $70 for the base game, 1100 CoD points for a battlepass, and still have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of micro-transactions in the store.

Personally, still holding out hope for a Black Ops 2: Remaster.

On a side note, go buy UltraKill on Steam. It's great.

I thought this would be a great game to teach small children about the dangers of SATAN and the HERETICS that support him by playing games like Grand Steal Automobile.

But now I find out, ON THE LORD'S DAY, that the developers have had a "sex" update?

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS BUT THIS GAME CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE IN ANY CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS THIS YEAR!!

This game is ruining my life.

I have so many assignments I need to do but I keep getting sucked back into the bowels of Tartarus.

10/10 great game.
