If you haven't yet had an opportunity to dive into the Mass Effect universe, consider this your call to adventure. This is a must-play trilogy. Get it, on sale or otherwise.

At the time of this review I have played through the Mass Effect Legendary Edition exactly once, having cleared 100% of both story and side content, racking up just over 130 hours. Compared to when the first Mass Effect released back in 2008, that is a drop in the pond compared to the 1,700 hours I put into the first game alone. With the number of alternate routes, dialog options, and choices available I could easily put in another thousand. The remastering of the original and subsequently, the updates to both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 in the Legendary Edition really feel as if the game has aged like a fine wine (and not spoiled, like vinegar). Some games have a hard time holding up after 10+ years; not Shepard's saga.
