Fallout 76 is probably one of the biggest redemption stories in gaming, a true labour of love. When it initially released I would have never expected it to be still be up at running in 2024 as it was an absolute mess. That being said it is far from the most polished game to have ever been released. There are genuinely thousands of hours of content for you to sink your teeth into, plenty of unique environments for you to explore and countless regular updates to the game adding new weapons, enemies, events, decorations for your C.A.M.P that you could get lost in Appalachia.

My only real gripes with Fallout 76 are the lore implications and retcons as well as that the game feels rather limiting once you reach the end game if you do not have a subscription to Fallout 1st.

Definitely worth a pick up when on sale, especially if you have a friend or two to play with who enjoy the Fallout IP! Even if you do not have anyone to play with, the Fallout 76 community is hands down one of the most welcoming player-bases I have ever experienced in gaming.

Fallout Shelter is a great game if you don't have a lot of time to spend on gaming but still want to do something. For example, at the time of writing I am currently moving house so do not have the time I usually do to game, its great to just jump on now and then and see my Vault and the dwellers within gradually get larger & better. Don't feel pressured to spend money on the game as its totally unnecessary & doesn't really have any pros or negatives to the overall experience.

If you play Destiny already you'll find some enjoyment but unfortunately if you are a 'New Light' then I cannot recommend purchasing this DLC.
The story is borderline nonexistent and doesn't do anything to further the Plot in what is the Penultimate DLC before the end of the Light v Dark saga. The cast of characters, both new and old are boring, they try far too hard to be funny and it never works. Main characters like Ikora, Zavala, The Stranger... How do they react when the Traveller is being attacked? They stand in the Helm and just watch whilst you are away doing a Mr Miyagi style training montage for a new darkness super in Strand that has been added simply because they decided a new darkness subclass was required regardless of if it made thematic sense or not.
Neomuna, a new city to explore located on Neptune, visually looks great but it feels hollow and ultimately has no meaning to exist. Why not the Last City on earth? A place some players know and have cared about for 9 years. I feel it would have brought some added weight and a reason to actually care about who you are fighting and what you are fighting for.
The new Raid, The Root of Nightmares is embarrassingly easy, very bare in terms of mechanics and has long stretches of just walking for walking sake.

The game-play as always is solid but as an individual piece of content, Lightfall is so disappointing on so many levels. If you were searching for a time to either start or return to playing Destiny 2 then unfortunately for me, now is not that time.

In order to play co-op, you and whoever you are playing with must first reach the safe-house. After this:

1.The host must send an invite to the partner
2.The partner must do the same
3.The host opens the received invite (do not join)
4.The partner joins the hosts invite
5.The host backs out of the invite
6.Host will receive a notification asking to accept partner joining, accept this and you are done!

No Spoiler review:
DISCLAIMER: When you play Fallout 3 the game will NOT work unless you use external tools to make the game function correctly. Due to Bethesda recently updating their 14 year old game to run on newer systems by removing 'Games for Windows live' as a requirement, any mod made before said update (14 years worth of mods...) no longer works. The only way to circumvent this is to download 2 things, 'FOSE' and 'Fallout Anniversary Patcher' (Linked below), there are an abundance of videos on how to download these on YouTube, however if you require further help drop me a message and I shall help you myself!
You will also have to cap your frames to a MAX of 60fps using a tool like Nvidia control panel, this is because older Bethesda games have their physics engine tied to the frame count. The game will not work correctly over 60fps as it was not designed to be played at an fps count above that.

I'll get it out of the way and say that Fallout 3 is my favourite game of all time, so I'm happy to admit my perception of the game will be biased. That being said it is not the best game of all time, not even the best fallout. However even in 2022 I wholeheartedly believe that Fallout 3 is a great introductory game into the Fallout universe.
It is absolutely impossible not to draw comparisons to Fallout New Vegas(FNV), an ultimately better game. The main quest-line is more linear than FNV, the mechanics more threadbare, the RPG elements more limiting with the black and white karma system and one-dimensional companions as examples. But that isn't a bad thing, especially for newer players.

Fallout 3 shines brightest when it comes to exploration, the environmental storytelling is still to this day some of the best in gaming. Exploring real life locations ravaged by nuclear war for the first time was amazing when I first played in 2008. The Side quests, the weapons, the armour All amazing and fit perfectly with the game.
I would highly recommend picking Fallout 3 up, GOTY edition is reasonably priced and goes on sale often, there are thousands of mods to download to enhance the game even more.

My heart says 10/10 but my brain says 8/10.

Minor Spoilers within

ME1:
A Great introduction to the trilogy. Game-play wise its understandably at its weakest due to the age of the original, this however doesn't take away anything from the overall package as other aspects like the exploration (especially on the Citadel) really shine and is arguably at its best in ME1. The first instalment of the trilogy brings along a varied and likeable cast of characters, some who can and will be with you throughout every game dependant on what specifically occurs in each individual play-through. This accompanied by a complex villain who evolves throughout the story and you can see the conflict within him as well as his reasons for doing the things he does makes the main quest line a joy to play through.
My only gripes with ME1 is that the space exploration for new players leaves a lot to be desired and considering the plethora of races in the Mass Effect universe, spending 80% of the game shooting Geth begins to get a tad repetitive.

ME2:
Personally I feel like the character builds and gun-play are at their best in the second game. The second instalment brings a lot more variety in characters, explorable worlds as well as both main and side missions. Some of the new companions are hit and miss and it feels like the game itself knows that, for example Zaeed and Kasumi, outwith their companion quests you can never actually talk with them, only have them talk at you: this made me essentially never choose them for missions as they didn't really feel as involved in plot points as the other companions. The main story lacks any real face to the villain with "The Collectors", however it doesn't take anything away as without spoilers, theres a lot more going on and not everything is black and white like the first game.

ME3:
I would have to say this is my favourite game in the trilogy and the one I have spent the vast majority of my time in. The set pieces, the environments, the cut-scenes, the music, the decisions you have to make... almost everything perfectly falls into place here. It is A LOT more action orientated than the others, not to say it doesn't have more role-play and conversation options like the other games as it absolutely does, however buckle up for a lot more frantic gunfight engagements and genuine wars that have a real impact on the story.
I personally tried done almost literally everything I could in this game, having never played or watched anything too heavy on ME3 when it originally came out I knew people generally did not like the endings, so far I have only done 1 play through and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the game including the ending I got(for reference I went into the final mission with just under 8000 WA and chose Red).

In Conclusion, Mass Effect is genuine 9/10 if not 10/10. My only regret is that I didn't dive in sooner.
Make sure that if challenged to a pull up contest with James you 100% do it, the reward is well worth it ;)
