I know this had a rough launch and not all performance issues are fixed 100% to this day, but other than a few minor issues remaining, this game is a masterpiece. The level of detail in the city of Paris and in the individual levels is simply incredible. The same goes for the NPC schedules and routines. Every district is different and it is simply amazing to witness the differences in architecture, local culture and NPC behavior between the different parts of the city. Definitely one of UbiSoft's best games ever. It is an amazing experience overall!

Abandonware. Do not buy. It is an extremely disappointing outcome for such an iconic 'most wanted' jet.

I will personally refrain from buying any more modules until the situation with Razbam is resolved. Eagle Dynamics not paying their developers and the frequency at which they keep releasing new unfinished products is giving me serious doubts about their financial situation. I do not want to send more money to a company that feels like it might be on the verge of bankruptcy.

I am aware that this might be an unjustified suspicion but Eagle Dynamics' business proceedings leave me no choice but to feel like they are desperate and starved for cash. Why else would you not pay a developer for their module while releasing a new unfinished early access aircraft or map almost every month?

Not sure what is going on at Eagle Dynamics but it all feels very fishy and like they are about to crash and burn. I hope I'm wrong.

It's just more of the same mediocrity. They have not addressed a single weakness of the base game. I got this for "free" with the Premium Edition but I would not recommend spending any money on this DLC.

Not exactly as good as it could be but also by far not as bad as its reputation.

Update: Changed it to a thumbs down after reaching the Helm management game. This is an insane grind, and if you want to get anywhere, you need to enter forced PvP to maximize your income. In fact, the first mission after picking up a full load of pieces of eight from your manufactory tells you to sail to some place far away for extra profit. It warns you that "rivals" will come and get you.

Up to this part, if you have always played PvE like me and do not want to participate in PvP, your rivals will always have been rogue ships so I naturally expected to be hunted by NPC rogue ships as before. This mission, however, without further warning that it toggles your PvP flag, sends you on your way to certain death.

I lost the fight and all pieces of eight in the ensuing PvP encounter that lasted all of 10 seconds because the ganker was fully decked out in a PvP build to make other player's life miserable, of course (it's what gankers do). I was in a Vanguard ship class so a supposedly tanky ship but the guy had zero probs to sink me in seconds.
The gankers obviously know the popular routes/destinations and prey on unsuspecting "n00bs" like me. My killer intercepted me about 1km before reaching the destination port. His ship was easily twice as fast as mine, too.

I despise forced PvP like the proverbial plague so here's your thumbs down, UbiSoft. After the forced PvP encounter, I just wrapped up some remaining achievements and then uninstalled the game. Good riddance.
I can not be bothered with this time-wasting super-grindy Helm management sim anyway. Forced PvP without warning was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Clearly a game made 100% for consoles. The PC controls are awful (to be fair, they warn you that a controller is recommended when launching the game). The graphics are so-so and the performance is pretty bad for how it looks.
Overall, the game just feels clunky and janky. There was nothing in the two hour free trial that really made me want to continue playing. It was a mediocre experience at best. Combat, writing, RPG systems... everything was just meh or even outright bad.

Thanks to Capcom for the free trial though. At least I found out that it's not for me...

Those that own the base game, but not the expansion will need to purchase the Rise of the Angry Earth to access the New World: Aeternum update at launch.

NOPE. You can keep your pay to play updates, AGS. To add insult to injury, the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion has never gone on sale since its release in early October 2023 so they expect us to pay full expansion price (€28.99) for an update that would be free for all players with any other MMO on the market.

If they really want people to NOT return to the game then congrats. Mission accomplished. I will not be forced to pay €28.99 for an expansion just to play the updated version. I last played this mid 2023 and will stay as far away as possible.

Not nearly as good as Rogue Spear but it's still quite OK.

Tried this one for the free weekend. I was on an early mission during the Italy campaign on standard difficulty (after the first turn-based part) and things were going really well. It was actually super-easy to capture control points throughout the city with just the upgraded M8 infantry vehicle that is very effective against enemy infantry with its .50 cal machine gun.

Capturing one of the control points at the hospital (which was once again easy) -without warning- triggered a timer to destroy two bridges with explosives. Because things were so easy up to that point, I had barely moved up my army. They were spread at various control points throughout town.

So I decided to use the naval bombardment to destroy one of the bridges which immediately ends the timer and you have absolutely no chance whatsoever to stop the German tank invasion over the other bridge.

This means that the game expects you to have prior knowledge of the entire mission because you definitely can not win it going in blind.
The only way that I can see that you can defeat the tank invasion is if -BEFORE capturing the hospital control point- you man all AT guns that you can find and position them near the bridge that you are *not* going to destroy.
You would also need to mass produce infantry units that are strong vs. tanks (bazookas) and ideally hide them in buildings at the corresponding bridge crossing.

Otherwise, you stand absolutely zero chance against the German tank rush. As I said, my units were all over town. I only had that M8 and a single tank as well as a bunch of spread out infantry units because the mission was so easy up to that point.

I really hate this about strategy games when it turns into pure trial & error and being required to start over the mission because you lacked prior knowledge.
The out of nowhere countdown with regard to the destruction of the bridges adds insult to injury because I really dislike timed missions/objectives. And to add even more insult, the timer is actually pretty useless because you can only destroy one bridge anyway before getting swarmed by heavy German tanks.

And this is an early mission on standard difficulty. I do not even want to know what nice "surprises" including timers await you in later missions during the campaign(s).
Like many games nowadays, this game is apparently only for people who enjoy watching their favorite streamers before they play it themselves so they can go into the campaigns with prior knowledge of each mission. This means it is not for me. Thumbs down.

I luckily bought a rather cheap key so it's not a huge loss but this has to be one of the most boring and uninspired games I have played in a very long time (not ever but it's up there...).

The missions are extremely repetitive and plain boring. You just shoot bugs in the face on barren desert planets. Some missions are not new player friendly at all. The objectives are very unclear and when you join a group as a low level player then you get kicked instantly.

So you are forced to at least 80% solo the first few levels which is an extreme slog. The leveling is slower than a very old Galapagos turtle on tranquilizers.

And then there is the ever present question: What am I actually doing all this for? The game completely fails to create any motivation. There is no narrative worth mentioning and the upgrades to the stratagems are mostly just as boring as the actual gameplay. It takes ages to unlock anything and you have to run dozens of very boring and repetitive missions to make tiny little bits of progress.

On a whole, this game has left me entirely unimpressed. I genuinely do neither get what all the initial hype was all about nor what all the PSN drama was about. This game has MUCH bigger issues than a measly PSN account.

To me, this seems like an obvious case of a game for the very easily impressed casuals who have zero standards. They are happy simply shooting bugs in the face. Well, good for them.
I would personally prefer if a game had a little more to offer. If I wanted a shallow experience like this game, there are enough F2P multiplayer FPS that are much better than Helldivers 2.
