instant in my top 4 favourite fighting games ever, top 1 platform fighter (but thats kinda a given considering the competition is M*ltiversus, arthritis inducer 2001, ultimate, and the nickelodeon game that was doomed by being the sequel to a sub par release)

genuine peak though, if you like fighting games but never liked platform fighters, play rivals. if you like platform fighters but wish you didnt have to develop carpel tunnel every time you jump, play rivals. if you like furries with swords, play rivals. if you want to be crushed under loxodonts Dair, play rivals
