I would recommend. Though I would like people to know you have to sign into an xbox-live account to play the game it doesn't use your steam account in game despite being released on the platform. Game can stutter if you uncap the frame-rate and slight audio issue with guns. No split-screen which was promised for pc. Lacking competitive playlists only 2 invasion and hardcore which is like 4v4 with no shields there no big team battle from 360 release. Social playlists is there too which has griffball, infection, and stuff like that which is good and firefight even has matchmaking. Good port getting 100+ fps on old hardware hard to really find anything to complain about other than what I already said above.

After 1 hr of playing this game it made me sexually Identify as a axe weilding heterosexual Viking. You see ever since I was a boy I dreamed of raiding dirty peasant villages then shooting hot sticky loads on disgusting peasants. People say to me that a person being a viking is unacceptable and I'm moron for doing so but I don't care, I'm beautiful 6"1 350lbs Hairy Smelly heterosexual Viking with strong male calves. I'm having a black smith forge me pink breast plate, chainmail, armor and braids for my body. From now on I want you guys to call me "Mr. Creampie" and respect my right to pillage villages, shoot sticky loads on & kill dirty peasants needlessly. If you can't accept me you're a Vikingaphobe and need to check your medieval privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

Well Here my thoughts after full 24 hrs into the game.

Good
Campaign:
+ Amazing Campaign is fast paced and brings back the core fast paced doom experience with glory kills that allow you to smash demons heads in or saw them in half very satifiying.
+ Camapign is very long in terms for triple A fps like 10-12 hours
+ Story has a good mystery feel to it as you scour through the camapign you will find holograms and such hinting as to whats going on
+ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of demons to kill its like serious sam on crack with tons of awesome guns
+ Best intro for an fps to a campaign I've seen so far
+ Rpg like elements add allows you to upgrade guns & suit that give they must have extra abilities like on the assault rifle can upgrade it to shoot mini missles and shotgun to shoot in burst. The rpg elements make since as when you progress through the game demon ramps up in more difficulty and come at you in larger hordes so you will see weak demons in beginning and stronger ones further you go and pickup weapons like chainsaw.
+Engergizing unexpected hard boss fights
+no reloading adds to the fast paced gameplay
+performs great 100fps all the time with 980 ti

Multiplayer:
+ Lots of customization for guns and armor. You can customize camos for both and make your own loadout its honestly pretty good
+ Snapmap provide lots of content to extend guns lifetime its allow for player to download other maps to play on and they are unexpectedly great. Ones I played one included defending a some demon against other in coop until they reach a checkpoint and another was like COD zombies where you killed demons for money and bought guns.
+ Snapmap lets you join other lobbies so you can play with up to 4 people which is fun.
+ Its fun fast paced and enjoyable where you can play for hours and it not get stale like COD or battlefield.
+ lots of game modes in mp to choose from like freezetag

Negatives:
-Could just be me but experinced some random game crashes while playing campaign
-Multiplayer demon powerups are too OP
-No private matches in Competitive multiplayer which means your stuck with playing out whatever map the game gives you and can't play alone with friends in competitve
-In the alpha for the game there was an option to play against bots in competitve mp which in no longer there may not be negative to others but to me it is.
-Snapmap limited to 4 people and sometimes performance dips while playing certain maps
-Loadouts leads to very annoying weapons combos like the combat and super shotgun which is very op as one has a gernade launcher and other does more damage and reloads faster or the rocket launcher and minigun.
-Endless demon killing can get repetitve and boring overtime
-Snapmap maps doesn't have server browser often putting you in empty lobbies and others with only one other peron which is annoying as it may take long time to find lobby of 3 ready to play.

...Yeah so doom is a solid action paced fps that sole purpose was to bring back the soul of the original while appealing to a newer generation of gamers that keeps its original core gameplay making it a solid fps despite an ify multiplayer to competitve oriented people.....so I give it an 8.6/10 although so far best fps of the year just few things make it shy away from a 9.

An amazing game that runs flawless on pc with a great story that you can get more than 70 hours out of!

I got a double kill by shooting a urinal across the map!

11/10 will shoot more urinals again!
