What a way to wrap up a massively enjoyable trilogy reboot series! Team17 really brought the story telling to another level in the final installment, got me fully invested and truly gripped my full attention. To be fair, there are certainly a few spots of jank specifically in Descent with some awkwardly executed Resident Evil style camera sections, but nothing egregious enough to take away from the overall solid gameplay. I'm glad I finally managed to finish this series (albeit about 15 years late :_D) and if I can get my hands on an original Amiga game, I want to go back and play the original and experience the roots of this highly underrated game!

I can't believe I'm playing this again in 2025... The series holds a lot of nostalgia for me being from the time when I was first discovering video games and revisiting them in order this year is making me really happy lol. The story line of the trilogy has gone from a bit cliche and maybe a tad silly to actually engaging just in the time between Impact and Assault. Looking forward to dropping into Descent tomorrow!

Alien Breed is a real nostalgia trip for me and while maybe the 2010 series isn't the most impressive set of games to look at, they really hold up 15 years later in my opinion. Sure, the writing is a tad corny and maybe "borrowed" heavily from Dead Space but I won't let that spoil my fun. If you want something a little quirky and a tad goofy but otherwise truly solid games, the Alien Breed series is a great one to try!

Let's start off by saying that I've paid ACTUAL MONEY for games with less personality and love clearly poured into them. The devs for HQ truly seem to have put their whole hearts and souls into this wonderful adventure game. As with any game in the genre, it has its obtuse puzzles and I definitely spent quite a lot of time saying "What the heck am I even doing here?" and checking the walkthrough published by the devs themselves. Overall, I fully enjoyed my time in this version of Midgard and in time, I fully intend to play through the game as the other 2 classes just to see some of the things I may have missed as the Rogue.
(Hint, don't pick the Rogue on your first game, that was a terrible idea XD)

I feel like I just had several strokes while playing this game that I'm not even going to attempt spelling out in this review, but that's not a bad thing? I had fun, it was weird and wacky and clearly a labor of love and satire.

I absolutely love the style, the horror is definitely there, but doesn't seem to overstay its welcome. Looking forward to getting and playing the full game from these guys!

By far the best "idle" game I've ever tried. SD2 has the option to either be extremely hands off and let things run in the background, but also has a lot of depth and complexity for when you want an active part in the action. All of the character models are fantastically made and the creativity around the whole concept is really astounding for this particular genre of game. For the awesome price of "Free.99", you really can't go wrong and I bet you'll have a great time - either casually or "seriously".

The story in the WTC series is really starting to flesh out in this installment. This also being the longest story yet in the series, Triority is doing a fantastic job at building a wild and wacky world around these utterly insane yet adorably lovable characters. Looking forward to the third installment in WTC 2, and whatever else they have in the works!

I received this game in a giveaway - full disclosure. I am not affiliated with the dev in any way.

I am quickly becoming obsessed with this wild world that is being built around the WTC universe. The writing and humor while obviously over the top and often sophomoric for no apparent reason, this is easily turning into one of my top indie darling franchises. Do not take any of the games in the WTC series lightly, the story that is being woven is far more intricate and well put together than it looks at face value. I fully recommend the WTC series as a whole to anyone interested in a good, fun, spy antics filled visual novel series.

***FULL DISCLOSURE*** I received this game in a giveaway, but I have no affiliation with the producer and have never been contacted by them for any reason.

One of the more bizarre games I've actually gone the extra mile to 100% complete, but the story (while full of typos, weird grammatical issues and odd writing styles) was strangely intriguing and surprisingly coherent. There are definitely more a few thousand sophomoric jokes and digs for some reason, but it mostly adds to the charm of this strange VN. This series is clearly a labor of love seemingly fully made by one guy, so give him some love and check out WTC either use this as foot in the door or pick up the whole series (which seems to be growing rapidly lately) and give it a spin! I think you (like myself) will probably be surprised.
