Music 10/10.

Level aesthetic and design 10/10.

The only issue I encountered was unbalanced bosses. Besides that, very solid platformer.

I've no-lifed a lot of platformers and this one is definitely one of the best.

The ps1/retro aesthetic looks crisp and flows with the skyboxes/backgrounds. Enemies, characters, and foliage/objects all look smooth. The game runs seamlessly, lag/choppiness is non-existent.

I loved this game, recommend it to anyone who reads this.

MH Rise fits in very well into the MH franchise in my opinion.

As a whole, the game feels like a combination of MH World and the previous generations of MH games (4 & Generations).

Not too difficult, and serves as a great entry point for new players.

Combat flows great, all of the weapons retain their signature abilities and allow for customized playstyles and tactics.

The story (while short) is executed good as well. Even additions such as a short poem cutscene for every new monster encounter adds to the environment and allows the player to be more heavily immersed in the story

The most important thing to note is that the difficulty scale of Rise does not scale up to previous entries in the franchise. There are many QOL changes that impact the way the game flows and makes it very forgiving in some situations.

While it may not serve as an extreme challenge to veterans of the franchise, I believe the game executes it's goal extremely well as an entry point for new players.
