Gorgeous, extremely fun, creative, stupid cheap, challenging and majorly overlooked, buy it so I want to play the next game this dev makes!

This game has a 90% chance of crashing completely, killing both the oculus link and the steamVR processes in it's path, meaning you have to spend 5 minutes removing your heandset and restarting every process required for the game to run. that is not an acceptable thing for a game that heralded itself as a saviour of VR.

This is one of the most interesting games from the 2010's : A survival game about being a creature close to the bottom of the foodchain that actually treats you as such.

It will sometimes just decide that there are 5 lizards in the room you need to go through to progress, and expects you to just deal with it in whatever way you have to. There are no obvious intended solutions for some of the stuff that gets thrown at you because this is not a set handcrafted setpieces but the result of the incredible sandbox that has been set up just right to create challenges for the player. The game's sandbox is an incredible mix of creatures that can interact, really making you understand that you are an insignificant grain of sand in a land you don't belong in.
The controls are awkward at first, but allow for some incredible movement tech if mastered and their physics based nature makes them feel very analog, giving you a level of nuance that very few games allow for. Experiencing a movement system that disregards a lot of the default behaviour we have come to expect from any 2D platformer is a really fun experience.

In short, this feels like a game that is the culmination of an entire genre like celeste does for platformers or HK for metroidvanias, except this game has no foundations to build itself from. it is the pinnacle of a genre that begins and most likely ends with itself.

After having their IP withheld from them by adult swim for a few years, videocult is back to working on DLC for rainworld, so there is no better time to jump in than right now, before the DLC drops.

Cyberpunk has some good stories but is held back by being an open world game.

Man what a letdown. This game looks great and has a great tone, but other than that it has nothing noteworthy to offer. The acting is way over the top, the story tries so hard to make your character the victim of everything bad that could ever happen that it comes close to being comedic and it takes itself way too seriously. I wouldn't be surprised if the end cutscene had been written by M Night Shyamalan, and that sequel bait just destroys the atmosphere of the entire game. I get that the ending song is coherent with the narrative, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, really, a 3 chord piano loop for 5 minutes ? Gameplay is boring as well, there are some good looking combos but there are like 5 mobs and 3 bosses total ? A final boss battle isn't an excuse to just spam the same enemies over and over again. I was really looking forward to this game, but the best part of it was learning about Norse Mythology through museum style audioguides.

Seems like a great game. However this is the second time I bought it, and it's the second time it doesn't work. I first wasn't able to run it due to having an old intel with just 2 cores, which isn't supported by this game. I recently upgraded to a ryzen 2600x, and it still won't launch. I have 300+ games on steam, this is the only one who has had such severe compatibility issues. This shouldn't be available for purchase, as it fails on the most basic level, which is being executable.

This game is absolutely beautiful, and a very worthy heir to Flower and Journey's legacy.
