Rating: Good.
Difficulty: Hard.
Length: Sandbox, Indefinite.
Workshop Content: Great.

Fun, but challenging, almost ridiculously so at times. The world is hellbent on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you six ways to Sunday, and in various ways. Whether you're getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ upside down, upright, left, right, diagonal, etc. the game will enjoy it more than you, but you will still love it.

The workshop mods for this game are creative, between custom characters, helpful mods like "Detailed Tooltips," if you're having a difficult time with the vanilla experience, mods are there to supplement that.

Also, the custom world generation is fantastic. You can pick and choose what you want more of, and what you want less of. You can generate the size of your world, adventure through it, enable/disable caves, and more.

At the time of this writing, only Halo: Reach has been released. My recommendation is Yes, with a but.

You are currently considering a 10 year-old game, with the main selling point being nostalgia for veterans, or a unique, genuinely good arena-shooter, campaign-driven, content heavy experience. With that in mind, Halo: Reach has bugs, but MCC has more, especially being a XBox -> PC port.

343 has done a decent job with the port, and the Halo experience on PC is as fun as ever, but since the game is 10 years old, and developed with consoles in mind, you will have experiences that feel off with certain weapons and vehicles in-game, which were originally designed with slow controller speed in mind. (I'm looking at you, Wraiths. >:(. ) Overall, unless you are the competitive sort, if won't take away from the overall experience that much.

On another note, Halo is a experience best played with friends. You will have much more fun hosting custom games lobbies with your buddies, or filling a full team to head into matchmaking, as opposed to getting ♥♥♥♥-on by people who have friends already, while you're queue'd with a bunch of randoms.

As for the rest of MCC, we'll just have to see. ;)

TL;DR -- Fun, but with bugs. Play with friends, and expect occasional trouble.
