A very cozy game that helps me focus on tasks at hand.
Out of the available features, here are the three I use the most:
- The to-do list, because it's quite satisfying to get to check boxes off once I'm done with the tasks
- The timer, very useful in helping me keep track of the time that is passing (and I need a lot of help with that!)
- The character & room customization tools, of course! Given the time I've spent customizing characters in other games before I even started to play, it makes a lot of sense for me to enjoy a game that is centered around that.

An exploration game with a beautifully crafted and touching story is what was promised, and in my humble opinion, that is exactly what Folklore Games delivered with Spiral. For anyone who may be thinking this is simply a game focused on the tale of an old man struggling with memory issues, don’t be mistaken… Spiral is about family, friendship, sharing life’s little joys and its big challenges, and so much more. While the game may be a tribute to a fictional character’s journey, it’s still one we can all relate with, in one way or another. Be prepared to smile, laugh and possibly shed a few tears.

I’ve already had the chance to finish the game (had early access), and I can say I’m definitely looking forward to my next playthrough; I thought I had been thorough with my exploration, yet it looks like I’ve missed some of what Spiral has to offer (gotta get ALL the achievements!!!). I’m very excited about once again accompanying Bernard through his memories, and maybe even getting to discover new ones!
