I have no idea what he is on. From some of the comments, it sounds like 'Spice' but I have no idea about it, one way or the other. It could be a number of things that brought him to that point or a mixture of different chemicals.
About the state of mind, I can only offer my own experience, of course. It's hard to describe but it's like the basics still hold, ie, I know there's a road over here and stars up there and people there and there, but what it means changes.
