Early Access Review
Lens Island is a good start, to what hopefully will be a great game, there's enough in it to warrant getting it early and hopefully stay with the same save file throughout development. Has a really good balance between challenge and chill, you can just farm in a world with no threats or explore the dungeons, or both. some materials can only be found in the dungeon. Losing your items is a pain if you die but i think that's a really good risk / reward mechanic.

Pro's
Nice Graphics
Lots too do in early access
no noticable bugs
challenging combat thats not too easy.
great research tree that rewards you appropriately
Dungeon materials respawn differently every time even though the map is the same
Doesn't have a encumbered or weight system and just has an item limit which is a nice change to the normal style

Cons
Alchemy materials dont make sense e.g. once you have it you can smelt stone (found everywhere) into Iron (only found in the dungeon) seems like that takes out a lot of the challenge of gathering and research
No map (could be added later)
Town is just static NPC's no life to the town (again its early access)
Some of the keybinds are a bit silly (e.g. "T" to block with a shield)
Upgrade materials are strange (e.g. i need roses to make a steel axe, again could be early access filler)

Randy said if I gave this a positive review then he would stop sending poison ships, Rabbid hordes of terriers and cold snaps for at least 2 days

If you are looking for a Management sim that is VERY heavy on the Micro Management side then this is for you, if you are looking for Stardew Valley, this will not be for you

At face value, CKII is a traditional strategy game. It’s asking you to do what every other strategy game does: play cerebral whack-a-mole, balancing a number of variables and threats in whatever way seems most prudent to you, the ruler. There’s an economy, and fighting, and diplomacy, and everything else you’d expect.

Brilliant Game, needs a lot of time to get used to it. But if you have played anything like Civ 5 or CK2 then you will really enjoy it.

The only bad thing i would say is that if your not running more than the pc requirements, getting achievements requires ironman mode which forces monthly autosaving and this can cause some lag if your not running more than the requirements.
