A truly fun and amazing game/experience to enjoy in Virtual Reality

I played this testing it since the demo and the game rocks on many levels of awesomeness

First of all the game it is full of content, the player can unlock different stages (Jump points locations) and each stage contains different stunts that can be completed but also each has 2 paths to fly through the entire stage. Each with 2 levels of difficulty based on the precision to fly them.
The visual of the locations were improved a lot from the first game, I think these can still be improved over time but the team had made several key changes that make some incredible moments when flying, like going on very narrow edges on mountains or reaching a small gap window to go throug.
Some stunts can pull you some smiles and some others will make your adrenaline go over 9000.

Flying is based on putting the arms in a centered position in the initial jump.
This is important because the rest of the flight is based on THAT centered position.
There is an option that was added that the game will remember that centered position and you won't need to do it for each new jump at all.

Later while flying you can do some roll backs, roll fowards, barrel rolls, falling acceleration, etc. This is one of the center mechanics and the core gameplay to learn to handle.

Beyond all this is when you can pull those stunts, gain experience and gradually you may unlock NEW jumppoint stages, new wingsuits (that will give you more speed, handling balances, etc) and new cosmetics to customize freely.

and besides everything mentioned, the game also contains an online mode with racing mode, Free roams, and new gameplay modes that I'm still testing.
So far the game surprised me for good, many times.

I can strongly recommend: DO NOT MISS THIS GAME!!!



PS: if you are afraid of getting sick.... don't. The game has many helps and improvements for those that are still getting their VR Legs, like making a safer way to jump, some view angles reduced and some other improvements made for the players to set over their tast and needs.

PS2: The team behind this game are really good people that listen to players and they are releasing VR content since very early days and pushing VR tech and fun together.
Worthy team for a better gaming world :)

Initial Impressions:
Eye Candy Visuals that I wasn't expecting and ... wow!! They are good !!

Interesting mechanics, you have 2 robotic claw hands that can pull objects similar to Alyx controls, and also keep objects on your wrists. You can pull out a very fast and practical screen with a laser that provides info on ANYTHING that it touches, and you have also a connector to use on specific spots.
As a bonus you have a small/slow jet-pack that I love it how it is being used, I think is one of my favorite features and the locations that I used it were amazing.

The game seems to be a smart story driven adventure. With mix of exploration and smart puzzles based on gathering parts around and understanding how activate or fix different retro sci-fi devices, while uncovering the main story.

It has movement choices, also they have additional blinders to avoid sickness if needed (in my case I'm immune and I disable everything). Additionally the options allow the player to set the movement speed (!), so I guess this could also work if someone wants to practice with slow movements too.

It is very early to give a detailed review but so far I like the game because of how it looks, how good it plays and how smart is .
I will expand the review when I get more advanced in the game.

I played like 20 something stages for the Heroes mode and then I played the Roguelike mode some more.

The gameplay is original but when I bought the game I thought it was a Tower Defense game and this game instead is like an Auto Tower game.
The towers are pre located on each stage.
Your towers generate soldiers automatically and those soldiers capture other towers, or improve them gradually. so the pace and the balance of the game that auto-generates soldiers in the towers is gradually in your favor and you will re route thw soldiers generated to other towers.
Some stages include multiple armies with some neutral towers so the tactics in the initial seconds are vital.

You also have some special abilities that can be passive, or triggered ones as spells from your hand that will produce a momentary attack. And heroes with those different spells.
These will affect the gameplay by killing enemy troops and damaging buildings. and therefore giving you an advantage on crucial moments.

In the end the game feels like a similar TD gameplay but it is NOT a tower defense.

Being said that is not a bad game but I would have preferred a classic tower defense game :(

This is just a personal taste but I still value that the developers created an original alternative and also added Roguelike mechanics on top of that.

And I think that many Tower Defense players may still enjoy this original variant.
However I'm pretty sure some may feel the game a little bland compared to the depth Strategy of normal or advanced Tower Defense games. So far it doesn't look complex but maybe I'm judging too fast and there is more depth on further content, and heroes to unlock.

Besides that the game looks cartoonish & good.
I had no issues at all, and I like the visuals and playing in VR. is very easy & enjoyable as you can see the board very comfortably and stretch or move freely on it and pointing the towers.

The only big drawback that I can mention is that the powers are not well placed IMHO, the game forces you to turn your hand up so the powers appear in your palm, but after some time playing I will just leave the palm up , and it makes my hand to hurt over time.

I would have preferred to have the spells around in a more comfortable way to select them or in a more natural way to my hand. Maybe need just one movement to call them and leave them floating and if needed another movement can be used to disable those.

Devs were responsive on the forums so far.

An early review because the game already blew my mind in Virtual Reality.
For a gazillion time probably, but in this case my eyes made me doubt of what I was seeing!

The visual illusion achieved here is shocking.
Another amazing expression how realism can be expressed in VR. Because also the physics of handling the Kayak are so good.
The game brings 2 main gameplay options as RACE with Friends and Global Leaderboards, and then the FREE ROAM mode to discover each of the sceneries hidden surprises. Also each location can be played on different day moments as sunset, night, etc.

So far I'm learning with practice how to handle it properly, and it is a blast to play an discover this breathtaking views.

Of course the game requires a certain level of good config to pull out this incredibly detailed realism.
Pay attention to the requirement but still the game seems to be well optimized and has a lot of options to improve the performance to enjoy it so well (including DLSS and FidelityFX)

I think this game is totally worthy to receive early support, and I can recommend to NOT miss this one.

I finished the entire game and loved it.
It is not like the classic ones but It doesn't have to be exactly as those.

It has a slower pace and mixes combat with some minimal exploration to find resources.
I played the game on HARD and is not that hard if you keep the resources incoming and completing secondary quests to buy better armament. The ships unlock slow at first but then near the end you will get the best ones for any role that you might prefer, from the massive tank to the balanced and also small but fast ones.

What I loved was the mix of biological and ships enemies around, somehow I would have expected even more monsters.
The mains story was interesting enough to follow it to the end and liked it including the conclusion.

There is only one BIG AND MAIN COMPLAIN...
this game with native Virtual Reality support would be an incredible BLAST to enjoy because the cockpit view on some locations would have been fantastic to enjoy on massive real scales and 3D depth...including big monsters on the depths.

To avoid having to play it on flatscreen 2d as all non-vr games I ended up playing the entire game using VorpX and a Geometry 3D profile.... is not the same as Native VR support but it was still so much better than non-vr at all, check the profile if you are a VR player because it increase the visual joy to play it.

8/10 with VorpX + Virtual Reality

And even once more again ... I get my mind blown in VR : WoaaaaW !!!

Now I can never see normal movies the same again, I want to see all movies THIS WAY!!!!!!!!

Amazing Job!!! And the low camera angles are MIND BENDING too...it is shocking the first time I saw it.

Yes the movie is short but you are going for a wild ride : 11/10

Also I recommend to NOT stream the movie, instead select the option to download it first entirely so you can play it locally.

The quality is perfect only this way and streaming can ruin the entire experience.

So strongly recommended to download it for your first time watching it :)

Initial impressions:
Great surprise so far!
Visually appealing and mixed action ideas, and I loved already Ski games.
They feel as a speed rush in VR.

I hope to see more Ski action and more FPS parts before giving a more complete review.

My only problem so far was that the default controls on VIVE were annoying; so I just edited them to disable the rotation completely for roomscale. Problem solved and enjoying the game :)

PS: I just saw another review that is complaining about this game and comparing it with Medal of Honor : A & B... what? O_o !
(and it was posted without enabling comments)

Medal of Honor : A&B is a full scale FPS that cost 10 times more than this game, and this game is not that kind of FPS, this seems to be another more casual approach and has no point of comparison.
Is not fair to review it that way, because this game, with that price has a different gameplay style.

I tried several plays to enjoy it but it feels very boring and I ended up uninstalling it.
I remember that I refunded it once and I got it back as gifted and even as that I cannot fully enjoy the game or recommend it.

In my humble opinion the major drawback is the turn gameplay, the game would have been soo much enjoyable with a little action. The pixel art feels average, the game supports gamepad but the entire way to play is not very comfortable and the tutorial doesn't provide explanations with gamepad controls, only mouse. I was trying to play this game using an Nvidia shield meaning that mouse is not an option.

Finally the gameplay itself feels a little unfair at some points and the tactical part of building things to prepare for opening rooms to prepare for reaching a destination to prepare then to take a crystal to that destination is ....not that fun.
Because you do not really understand how to prepare or if you are ready or not with a setup, not even an estimation even on easy.....and finally as stated, you do not really play the combat.
I love tower defense games and roguelike but I didn't enjoyed this one at all.

I cannot recommend it.
I 'm aware that I didn't played so long, I could go back maybe in the future but so far everytime I try to enjoy it, it is pure Boredom.

A direct-to-fun sim-cade flightsim that is way too good and looks amazing in VR
I'm having a lot of fun and some missions are a blast to enjoy.
The game allows different levels of difficulty that goes from very arcade and easy to pilot with easier enemies to harder difficulty levels where the airplanes have more realistic reactions and enemies will make your airplane become a swiss cheese with a lot of holes :P

Also very recommended for those players that just want to jump in quickly into action

Quick Review while I started playing it.
The game is a a good Zombie FPS adventure released as Early Access.

As developers answered:

“Its a fully featured campaign. We have spent a significant amount of time building and polishing the campaign, all leaving nothing rushed and/or broken. However we want to make sure that we cover all bases by releasing it in Early Access.”

Meaning that this is already a full single player campaign game that was still released as Early Access to polish it good and also to expand the content even more in the 1st year

And I can confirm that so far the game can be improved but still it feels as complete single player game experience and so far... I'm enjoying it.

The game still misses some features, like.. so far I set the difficulty to Hard and It still feels as a normal or easy.
The game needs a better challenge and more action.
I'm pretty aware I'm still playing the initial levels, but after 3 hours of gameplay I have to say that there was only 3 or maybe 4 specific moments when I felt I was under a certain level of Life risk against those slooooow zombies.
That is, in my opinion, the main reason, the zombies are very slow and easy to shoot, there were specific triggered events that puts you under real pressure but still I managed to survive those.

The entire game feels like an initial early release in the visual aspects and animations from zombies.
The design of the levels, the narrative pace of the story, the choice of some small situational puzzles where you need to find ways to continue, are all good things in the game and makes me feel compelled to continue.
The game also has a progressive way to improve new features on weapons by finding certain components that will take the player to explore or pay attention to the sorroundings to find them.

I'm uploading a video I recorded with my initial gameplay to explain all this better and will update the review when it is ready.

So far I can still recommend it.

If you played Surv1v3 and loved it like me, well I think this game is by now like 70% of how good and fun is Surv1v3.
Remembert that this one is only single player (it doesn't support Coop, or Survival open world mode...so Surv1v3 has also additional gameplay modes & maps)

But...once again, this is just the first release as Early Access, if the Devs improve this game for good I can see this becoming another really great alternative to Surv1v3 as a zombie horror FPS.
