Absolutely, one of my favorite games I have ever played. This game holds special place in my heart, because of the setting, story, characters, and the mystery that belies all of the above, accompanied by fitting visuals and a great memorable soundtrack.

Everlasting Summer is a free, russian-made visual novel where you play Semyon, a late 20-something depressed recluse, who takes a bus and ends up a 16 year old pioneer (I liken it to boy scouts but in the 80's with communism) in a picturesque pioneer camp filled with typical images of russian youth.

So where are you, who brought you here, and why? Those are question's that you try to solve while interacting and building relations with the other campers.

Whether you can solve it, though, is a completely separate question. Between the camp-wide distractions, the obfuscated nature of the beast, and the danger of being surrounded by the vicious unknown, the various endings, implications of each, and the niggling thoughts of "but is it *actually* over?" make this game, to which I went in blind, amazing and beloved.

Again, one of my favorite games, one of my favorite VNs. The writing and translation aren't the best, art is lacking in places, and Semyon can be kinda edgy at times, but I love this whole thing despite all of its faults and I sincerely wish for more people to just give it a try.
