Early Access Review
Developers were previously banned from Steam for giving away NFTs to people that gave their previous game Aether a positive review. They've recently tried to claim that the raffle was for both positive and negative reviews, which is a blatant falsehood.

I'm all for second chances, but not when there's no transparency or honesty served with it.

Warning: Most of these game reviews are fake and written by a bot network run by the developer. The developer also uses alternate developer names and has around 20 games on Steam, all Unity asset flip shovelware titles. This developer is also dodging a Steam ban they received in March 2024, when Valve severed business ties with them because of Anti-Consumer practices. More can be read on that here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/groups/Sentinels_of_the_Store/announcements/detail/4553794655131533944

The physics and controls are so frustrating. There's a delay to the controls which makes it harder to control your character even in an endless runner. The physics, sometimes you'll run into things and not die. Other times, you might not run into things but still die. There's just no consistency with the game...

The game is fun at times, but the power-ups are OP. Makes the game too easy. The bombs last for long enough for you to vanquish all the zombies and they don't regenerate. Once they're dead, they stay dead. Items, and objects can also phase into the environment, leaving you at times stuck if the key gets stuck in a wall and you can't pick it up to finish a level. There'll also be random invisible walls in the level which can lead to frustrating moments where you think you're on a straight clear path, only to be cornered between a Zombie and thin air.

Now, I get there needs to be challenging, and some of the early levels manage this fine, but it gets to a point where the rate of fire of the soldiers and the currency accruing just work entirely against you, where it isn't a skill-based issue but more a gameplay issue. The soldiers you have fire so slowly, draining away too little health from the enemies for you to build up a sufficient army to take them on. You'll spend 10 minutes, even enjoy it in parts, but then the game just starts working against you.

Generic, boring, and too easy. The game can effectively be completed in around 10 minutes, as you'll have built all the structures up to their level 3 equivalent, and the game just throws these random challenges at you with no rhyme, reason, or cohesion. It gets to a point where you need to start demolishing structures to make room for lower-level equivalents, just to tick the boxes the game presents you. And sometimes, the game will tell you to do challenges you've already completed, and just doing one task (either demolishing a building or leveling another up) suddenly kicks the game back into gear and makes it suddenly take stock of all your buildings again and realize you've already got the sufficient amount to mark the challenge as complete.

Awful, just awful.

As for the game, it's very bland, generic, and unresponsive at times. Even when the game says you can deploy an enemy to a certain spot, you'll sometimes need to mash the LMB before getting any response. What's so funny about this game store page, in particular, is that the developer lost track when posting their asset flips to Steam, as half the screenshots are actually from Cosmo Magnet, another game by this "developer"

Don't waste your time or money.

This game was my favourite of the batch I played from this developer, but still not good. There's at least a challenge and the semblance of a good gameplay loop here, however, the enemies' health is lying to you. You can hit an enemy, regardless of their health 5 times in a row and they'll die regardless. As you progress, you realise just how quickly boring the game gets, and the repetitive music is a burden on the ears as well. You can turn it off, but then it feels even emptier and incomplete.

In fairness, this is not a bad idea, but it's very glitchy and buggy, and the controls are awful and slippery. You point and click where you want the character to go, but it can lead them to walking through walls and into objects, leading to bugs and glitches and even teleporting out of the map. The tasks are also super easy to complete, but the game doesn't just let you move onto the next task, you've got to wait for the timer to finish even if the task is done. The UI is also awful. Everything blends together too much. If you have a task, that UI will sometimes overlap with the HUD on the left hand side of the screen, making you miss when you are being told which direction to go for your task.

This game was one of the worst ones I played from this developer. The programming ineptitude is on full display in this game. There are coins that the pig straight up can't get, because they aren't placed on pathways the pig can take (you can even see the developer fail to pick some of these coins up in the trailer). The jumping over rivers also doesn't work, possibly because the game pack used wasn't made with the large pig model in mind, so regardless on how precise you are at jumping, it's a coin toss if your pig will stay on the platform you've landed on.

The game is very bad. It gives you the instruction that you need to climb down the vehicles and structures to get to the bottom, but the vehicles just stop generating after you've just spent 1 minute climbing down them, leaving the game unbeatable, stuck in the same 1 minute gameplay loop with poor physics and poor controls.
