You can tell that Ubisoft really put a lot of thought into this game and spent a while working on it. While it may not feel like the older Assassin's Creeds, it's still a very fun game. I thought that this game wouldn't be as fun as Origins, but I was wrong. This game took everything Origins did and did it right. The new combat that was introduced in Origins was good, but they really polished the combat in this game. It feels so good and you can actually kill an enemy without getting hit in this game.

Also the enemies are much better in this game. This includes the mercenaries. I loved the bounty hunters in Origins as a way of getting good loot but there were only a few of them in the game (I think 5 or 6), and I'm so happy they added a ton more in Odyssey. Having to watch your back for enemy mercenaries can be annoying but it's a lot of fun to duel them.

The game is seemingly endless. I'm taking my time to complete the game by completing every side quest on each island I visit to help myself stay level with the progression of the game, but it seems like I still have forever to go in the story. That's another thing that they did right with this game. Instead of having to collect resources from animals to level up your armor, you have to actually find gear. I like this system a lot better and it's much more rewarding. Not only that, but it makes the game addicting. I can't stop playing until I've completed, this, this and this because I want to level my character.

I got this game for $20 and it's an absolute steal. I should have bought it for $60 when it first came out. Overall, 9/10.

I knew this game was going to be life-like, but I didn't expect the economy to be so in-depth. I have actually become addicted to this game, I have to fix every little thing that is causing me to lose money or make citizens move out and the modding is awesome.

This is a great game to buy, especially when it's on sale.

Leave it to Ubisoft to make some wack game... I'm honestly speechless. I guess as someone who grew up on Need For Speed this isn't really my type of game. Definitely glad I didn't buy this game.

This game is mostly fun and it runs well for me at this point with only a few minor hiccups in performance and some minor bugs, but honestly the minor bugs can be extremely annoying.

It's the small things that piss me off so much. The devs said they fixed bots killing you from 50m away with a shotgun and they said that they fixed the laser molotovs bots can hit you with from far away. Well they didn't. I'm so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick of dying from a moltov that was thrown from almost 75m away, it's like the bots are professional baseball players for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake. Sometimes the hit registration can be bad, but after quite a bit of playing I have narrowed that down to the individual servers. However, the lag (internet lag) is just horrible some days. A few days when I play it's lag free and it's great, but it seems most of the time my ping just randomly spikes to 200 on any server I play on. It's not my internet, because I get 5 ping in games such as CSGO. So clearly this is on the games end.

I have over 600 hours in the first Insurgency, so the fact that you have to be patient and wait to respawn when you die is nothing new to me. I'm just sick of dying to stupid ♥♥♥♥ one minute after I respawn and having to wait 5 to 10 mins to be spawned in again.

That's why the first game was so much better than this one. The first Insurgency had the pace down perfectly, sure you have to wait a while to respawn, but it wasn't nearly as slow as this game. This game is a lot more tactical and realistic, which I love, but they had to sacrifice the faster pace for the tactical aspect.

Even though I am giving this game a negative review, I am still going to continue to play it, just not as much until the devs make some major changes. However, it's hard to continue to play it when there are so few servers available. The fact that this game is dead just a few months after the official launch should be sending some strong signals to the dev team that something is wrong with their game. The original game has more consistent players and I find myself going back to it when I can't find a game on here that isn't laggy.

TLDR; I would give it a mixed review if that was possible. DO NOT pay full price for this game, which is the main reason I am forced to give this a negative review.

Bought it on sale, and I can say after playing a bit it's not worth $20 anymore. I love the need for speed games but I'm glad I didn't pay full price.

This game has great graphics and a lot of tracks, however the mechanics/physics are a little stiff. A huge complaint I have about this game is the ridiculous catch-up that they added to the AI. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and there needs to be a way to disable it, it's super unrealistic to be going 260 MPH and have an AI opponent that is 3 seconds behind me be able to catch me on a straight away.

This is probably the last Need for Speed that I will play, everything else that has come out since then has looked terrible. That is unless the Need for Speed Carbon and Underground remakes are ever released. The one thing I wish they would bring back in Need for Speed is the tuning system that they used in Carbon, it was by far the best tuning system I have used in a racing game and I think this game would benefit greatly from it.

I love this game, but I could only make myself play through it once. It's such a long game if you complete everything.

Doesn't run the best but it makes up for it in the large map and the seemingly endless quests.

I also enjoy the new crafting system and rarity system. It's definitely something that should have been added years ago.

Solid 8/10 and a close second to AC4

I know I only have a few hours, but it's enough to give it a brief review.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a good recovery from the failure of a game-Assassin's Creed Unity. The mechanics felt on par with where the saga actually left off(AC4), with the combat feeling smooth and mostly complete. A few setbacks I noticed from AC4 were the throwing knives and quickshot with the pistol.

As for the optimization, it's pretty good but it could be better. Personally my FPS is all over the place, I go anywhere from 60 to 40 depending on where I am in the game. I've come to the conclusion that this game is very demanding in terms of VRAM rather than CPU intensive like other Ubisoft games.

From what I have played so far, I like the game. The story is fun but the setting (19th century London) is my least favorite of the series, the game would be much better if the time period was different. I feel that the series can't really go past the 18th century without it becoming too modern for the AC series, technology advanced way too much in the 19th century for The Assassin's to stay on top of the pecking order.

Early Access Review
It's alright.

It's fun as a free to play and non-competitve game, but I don't really see the game going anywhere.

Classic and a fun game to play when you are bored or have a little bit of time!
