TL;DR: The game's difficulty is ridiculous. Music and graphics are semi-decent, but even 'Adventure' is baloney on difficulty. And don't get me started on how some of the achievements need to be farmed :<

I have just under 4,000 hours in this time. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm done with the game now.

TL;DR: DE continues to give free updates, bring new content that can absolutely be acquired for free with good old farming. The game actually has too much to explore and do at this point. I began seriously in 2019 all the way through 2024 when I thought that I did everything I wanted to. I just can't keep catching new updates for fashion frames, new frames, primes, equipment and the like. I'm 35 now and have a life lol

People have praised the new 1999 update, but I promised myself I wouldn't lean into my perfectionist side. Or I'd be drawn in to get everything the game offers and be forced to do another thousand hours lmao

Great to play with friends, can be played solo but better with friends. Mod system is good, some game modes are nice. Great lore. Some things take weird resources to make and the crafting system could be better. Too many relics at this point lmao

Game does not hold your hand. You should use the wiki or play with friends to learn and become really good at the game!

The turtles aren't diverse enough on skill and some outright suck, but on gameplay alone this is a great experience! Worth playing with friends and randos!

Unironically, I came to this game from Risk of Rain 2. After almost 200 hours into it, I'd say that it was worth it. They have new updates every quarter which changes some aspects of the game in meaningful ways. It's basically a roguelite with FPS and RPG elements.

The difficulties are reasonably well balanced, the game has decent end-game content. The characters are diverse with their skills and abilities, though the owl and eagle are harder to learn/master. They have an alternate game mode and are adding new characters, stages etc. frequently.

My main feedback, is to have more level and enemy type variation. I would hope that in 6 months time, they have a new game mode and more, diverse biomes.

I main Ao Bai, he's just a lot of fun to play with. Nerds love the owl cause the cards just keep flippin'. I also like the fox lady and the red panda. The tiger is a glass cannon, not suitable for all but in general there is some depth of variety to the game's characters.

I cannot overstate how phenomenal this game's OST is (Give it a buy if you're into music). I previously thought this was a Robotic version of Gunfire Reborn. I will admit, this is wrong. Roboquest is far more unique, has amazingly quick gameplay. You HAVE to learn to be fast, understand builds/synergy and work your way through its levels. I suddenly became a Roguelike/Roguelite fan and this one does NOT disappoint! Pacing is fantastic and you feel rewarded, excited at the end of every playthrough. Remarkably, the difficulty also scales really well!

Good Stuff:
- Fast Movement, with many ways to move around
- Eye-Candy Graphics
- Phenomenal Music that keeps your adrenaline flowing (Great job Noisecream!)
- Highly re-playable. Has lore, different weapons, characters and builds for you to try out
- Allows you to envision unique builds for unique robots

Negatives:
- RNG can bite you.
- The higher difficulties are no joke. You can win on Standard, maybe even Hard but without understanding movement you aren't doing the crazier difficulties. It is very rewarding if you win!

Tips:
- Get the game on sale if possible
- Consider synergy of skills, try out different stuff and see how elements work

I was trying real, real hard to like this game. I flutter towards DnD-adjacent games and this seemed like something I would love. Hell naw...

- Why have PvPvE be a thing for NEW players? If Warframe and other games can do basic solo/friend/auto-fill public runs fine, why can't Dungeonborne? I would in fact call it false advertising to say it is 'PvE'.

- There is next to no filtering of you being matched up with players close to your level. I went in about 20 times with a newbie friend of mine and we found 8 other teams. Not once did we win and based on the weapons they had it was easy to conclude they were OP for newbies.

- The movement in this game is outright mood killing. Why not have something like a stamina bar for running/dashing? Almost every class feels like they're carrying 100 kilos of loot behind their backs. Even donkeys can walk faster with that much load.

- The classes are not very distinctive. If you deviate from traditionally 'easy' classes, you're effed in the A. This game also doesn't have any sort of guidance or tutorials for how to increase stats, get better weapons. It's "Tutorial" is a joke.

I really, really wanna like the game but apart from very good visuals and a semi-decent looting mechanic this has a huge mountain to climb. Fellow DnD fans, at least wait 6-9 months before trying this out.
