I have several hundred hours in the game pass version. While the multiplayer is kind of not good, the rest of the game is very fun.

I had well over 2k hours in the original version. Now that it's ran by a company that isn't scum, I'm back and having fun.

A few issues here and there. Game stutters somewhat hard in very, very crowded areas but otherwise it's been a pretty enjoyable experience. Some of the systems seem a bit convoluted, but as a person who plans to be mostly F2P, I'm level 30 and have no major complaints.

If Path and Diablo had a child but it was better than both of them. Servers are still a bit wonky but it's definitely the best ARPG to come out in a long time.

Imagine taking CSGO but making everything except the graphics worse. Play an actual shooter like R6 Siege.

I really don't understand the hate this game gets. Yes, GaaS was a bad choice for this game, but I thought the combat, stories, and overall gameplay was very solid. I would have preferred to get Marvel Omega back because it was a better ARPG, but I still believe this is a great game, and definitely worth picking up for the $6 price tag on sale.

Loved the game. It was one of the few Battle Royales I thoroughly enjoyed playing and ranked somewhat smooth and fair. However, these last two updates have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ranked beyond recognition. I have zero interest in playing and for the first time in several seasons, I'll be uninstalling and not participating. Shame too because I almost always bought the battle pass and at least a few skins throughout the season. Maybe I'll come back if they fix it, because I do love the game, but the idiotic changes kinda ink some doubt for me that Respawn has no idea what they're doing.

Edit: They fixed the ranked system. It took them over a year, but they fixed it. I will change this to recommended now and leave the original review above.

2024 Edit: Well, after thousands of hours on my EA account and Steam, I've decided to uninstall and move on. There are a lot of issues, and many of them I can overlook. But the new monetization is something I simply refuse to be a part of. I'm someone who bought a battlepass probably every other season, even when the "premium" tier skins were ones I didn't really care for, I still wanted to support a solid BR but can't stomach it any more.

They've improved on almost every single thing I liked about My Time at Portia. In a world of truly terrible early access titles, and even moreso for sequels, Sandrock is a breath of fresh air and delivers a very fun playing experience. If you've never played My Time at Portia, think of this as a cross between many aspects of Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon/Rune Factory. Rather than dedicating a ton of time to farming (which you can do as well, if you like) you spend most of your time building and helping bring a ghost town back to life. One small suggestion I would make for new players is to go into the options and change the speed from 1.0 to 0.5. It makes the days twice as long. You'll need it because there's a lot of stuff to do.

Phenomenal port from a game I sorely missed. Runs really well, looks decent, and hasn't lost it's charm.
