It is nice to play as Barney, but it doesn't add anything new to the default Half Life game.

I had a very unique childhood with this game being one of the first FPS games I've ever played, even though I wasn't playing it with anyone else back in the day, the interface, the sounds... once I launch this game, I feel like I'd went back to simpler times, indeed. The lack of reuse of the game's current mechanics and gamemodes in modern games really sets me on edge, 25 minutes in this game gives you an insight to one of the best moments you'll ever get in your life. I like to think that Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory changed the FPS genre forever, but nowadays no one bothers knowing this game a little better. What a wasted potential.

The game casts a very weird atmosphere, but I like it. I still have to say that Portal 2 is better in a lot of aspects.

If you would like to play Portal 1 again but with new test chambers and an other "story" I recommend the Portal : Still Alive mod.

I'm not downgrading this game because the game sucks. I'm downgrading this game to catch your attention. Let me tell you my reasoning, and why I'm not recommending it;

Spore in itself is good, but if you want to see creations and share your own creations you have to log in to EA . Now, this is not going to work even after you register and try to log into your EA profile, you need to own Spore on EA Play.
"Oh okay, I'll just write to EA Support then!" - won't work. I'd tried, and the people behind the other end are absolutely blindfolded. They just complicate things further after you show proof of buying the game on Steam. I won't go into details, but to sum it up, it just won't work...

Basicly, on Steam, you don't have any chance to actually have a good gameplay experience, you have to buy the game on EA's platform first, then message Steam support, since they are much more competent and it's not run by some cheap indian workers who don't know english on a proficient level.

Nowadays it's kind of lame. I remember the old advertisements on the television.

Ah yes, I love being called adopted, fat, and trash by a sociopath robot. Jokes aside, the story and the co-op is very fun and the graphics are surprisingly still holding up for a game released in 2011.
