After 3 long years of waiting for the game to be in a state, where I feel like giving it another shot, it finally arrived with update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty expansion. And I have to say, one of the best games of 2023 for me and one of the best games ever. This is coming from a guy, that hated CDPR and the game when it released. But they turned it around and delivered. That said, there is no excuse for a game to release in a state that it did in 2020. It obviously needed couple more years in the oven, and I am glad CDPR got all the smoke as they deserved it for the release and misleading the public. But as it stands now? I love Cyberpunk 2077, its unique world, fun combat, characters, and systems. I love running around rooftops like a cyber ninja, deflecting bullets and using slow-mo. There are still potential improvements to be made, for example more interactions within the city, but that can arrive with the sequel. The world feels alive and that’s all that matters for now.
