This will be as spoiler free as I can make it and I'll only be talking about how the combat feels to me in this review so buckle up. Firstly during the tutorial chapter and first chapter it feels like a solid beat-em-up with tight controls and every punch and grapple feels really strong which feels great and plays fun and introduce your drug charge which you can use to heal yourself or put yourself into a rage doing increased damage and being able to instakill one enemy with a grapple, but one problem with this drug charge is that you must stop fighting and stand still over a defeated enemy who is convulsing and syringe drug out of them leaving you open to attacks much more easily on anything higher than easy difficulty. As the game progresses there are enviromental hazards that can range from train rails to random bikers driving by from one side of the screen to the other and may instakill enemies and deal massive damage to the player, but evading these hazards can be difficult because these areas are infested with enemies who seem to keep spawning just off of the left and right edges of the screen and can swarm you on difficulties normal or hard. Boss fights are just as difficult with enemies constantly spawning in around the boss and walking right at you trying to make you stagger so the boss can walk up slowly and down smash. The enemies seem to have no fear of you and just walk right at you unless they have a weapon, then they become passive agressive and attack you when you get near. Having AI companions during areas with enviromental hazards will usually result in them dying chasing an enemy into these areas and then others walking into the same area trying to revive their fallen comrade. I forgot to mention that there is no block button, the only way of protecting yourself from damage is to knock enemies over with a grapple toss or a short dodge that only goes the direction you're facing. During gameplay i could not use the dodge efficiently and found it useless by the end of the game as the amount of enemies meant there was absolutely no way I could dodge a gunshot or a jump kicking enemy. Jump kicking enemies are aweful to fight against if there is more than one on the screen, the loadscreens tell you to air grapple them to punish but with more than one on the screen you would grab one only for the second to knock you down as well. I can appreciate that this game has co-op even though it's local, and can say that if I had invited a friend over to play this game would have sat better in my stomach. The difficulty and combat controls, for me at least, are just too annoying alone with AI on anything except easy. I still recommend it if you have friends to play or beat em ups are your thing, but I would not play through this game more than once without friends.

Hey, y'know, when it's Neo-San Francisco it's not gonna be a bad time. I found this game when steam recommended it to me out of nowhere. looking throught the screenshots and watching the video makes it was obvious that this game is a point and click adventure with a sidekick R.O.M. (that's what robots are called in the future :P) who's the first to be gifted with artificial intelligence... I like that idea. so i picked it up (game only) and played an hour immediately to see if it was worth my time or i'd ask for a refund, and I've got to say that it's definitely worth it. To start explaining it without spoiling anything I'll say it straight: it's a point and click game, you click things and you select from certain options to progress the story or encounter entertaining dialogue, the choices you make affect how characters act towards you the further you progress in the game, and you better be prepared for the occasional puzzle that keeps things from going too fast, because if you really wanted you could finish this game in one day if you really commited yourself to it, but I'd recommend to play in sessions to digest what happened in each chapter and really get into the story. Enjoy the soundtrack while you're at it. It's catchy and has a retro-futuristic feel that fits really well in the cyber punk city of Neo-San Francisco.
