Wooho my austism made me write this hegemon of a reviev instead of doing anything else!

Mechanics:

Spy Agency
Idk, spies are a mixed bag for me. In one hand, they are really powerfull (Collab goverments my beloved), but at the same time they don't change much. I mostly make an agency, break ciphers of my enemies, forget about them and use them day before capitulation.
I acknowlage the other things spies can do, but you won't do them most of the time. Stealing blueprints? If you're a minor country, they can be useful, but you need 3 spies to steal 1 thing, Most minor countries will get 3 spies if they get the advisor, but I ain't sacrificing my precious consumer goods -15% for one spy.

Armored cars:
Really? "They are cheap and good as garisons". Ever heard of 1 horse in a division? I personally use them if I conquered a lot of land and I'm RP'ing a bit.

New Tags:
All of the German tags from the French Napoleon path are an nice addition, they make the map painting without mods nicer. I really enjoy the decision to make all the AI Spain their own tags. (The Spain that is designed to win has a SPR tag, the first one that spawn, (Nacionalists or Republicans) have the D01 tag, the Anarchists have the D02 tag, and the Carlists have the D03 tag).

Now...the focus trees...

France... is alright?. Every path feels a bit short.

Little entente- A really op path in historical, being able to crush the germans in 1938? Yes please. And the option to steal the Czech entande is just funny af.

The historical path is... bad, but its better than the piece of ♥♥♥♥ the Orleanist king is.

Olreanist King- Yes, I'm gonna spend 70 days for 2 building slots in Paris, totaly worth it. 10% stability for 70 days? Okay? Orleanist is like playing Nepal, no formables, no cores, but at least Nepal has the really nice spirit for the special forces...

The one that let's you unite with Spain is a pain in the ass to get in historical. Pray for the carlist's to spawn, and then pray again for them not to suck.

Napoleon path is... alright... Disuniting Germany is probably the coolest thing from it.

Commie path is also alright, I don't have much to say about it. Oh, and the Fascist path is just bad. Like, why do they made me choose betwen 10% stab, 10% war support or the equipment construcion buff (I believe?) Why not let us take all of these Paradox?

France is for people who know what they are doing

Now for Portugal.

Portugal is quite enjoyable. Being able to core your african colonies AND Brasil (If you go monarchist) is really op (and it was made better with ToA). For the paths, communist is really good, democratic is kinda mid but it's still enjoyable. The historical path just exists. Blah blah monarchist is the best one. The fascist is also alright. Portugal is really nice to play.

Now for Spain, God where do I begin...
Civil war is really well made... accept for the fact you can STILL finish it in 1936.
Now... for the paths...

A Great Spain (left side)
Civil war:
Nacionalists and the Falangists have a pretty easy civil war. You get a lot of equipment from Germany and Italy.
As for the Carlists... It's complicated. Carlists won't get any lend lease, as they are non-alligned. That makes the civil war a lot harder. The fact that you start with only one guaranteed state is also painful.

Now the paths.

Nacionalists-Historical path. Being a historical path you don't see any war most of the time. Yea, you can join the axis, but why bother if you will be able to join them in like... 1943? 1944? The war is already won by the allies. And even if axis somehow manage to hold, what are you gonna do? Best bet is to naval invade the UK. But what about the US? Hell, what about Brasil? You just don't have the force to do a lot as Spain in the axis.

Falangists... Nacionalists but even more fascist. You can join the axis a bit quicker. This is probably the least op of all of these regarding the buffs you get, cuz you almost get none! And yes, I acknowledge the recent update that added new focuses for them. Yea, coring all of your old lost colonial empire in the Americas is op, but why bother? Yea, you will be strong, but this is a late game focus after all. At least the flag is cool...

And now, the Carlists. I have mixed feelings about them. On one hand, you get really nice bonuses from the Crusade against Democracy, but on the other hand you don't really do much. Uniting with France? Sorry, can't do that, only France can do that. Iberian Union? They never accept, so prepare to invade Portugal just to puppet them. It's just like the Republican paths, you play it, get some buffs and that's it. But you at least can core Portugal here... not like the Republicans...

Now, the Maintain the Second Republic side.

Civil war:

If you know what you are doing, winning the civil war in 1936 is pretty easy. It is important to note, that the Republican Spain's focus tree is really underpowered compared to the Nationalist.
Anarchist path is painful. I don't have much to say. No lend lease, no help from others. Your stability will always be on 0%. Your buffs aren't that great...
And the Communists... their paths play almost indentical to the republican one while in civil war.

Now for the paths.

Republican Spain... is ok. Really underpowered, and completly useless. You don't get anything for going this path. You can either be fully democratic (by not accepting soviet help, which locks almost 10 focuses) or become a soviet puppet and either stay democratic or become communist. Yey another path where you become a puppet and your whole industry is taken away! Oh, and if you go for the Democratic path, you have a focus to ask France for help... It's useless, they never accept.

The Communist path is mediocre. You have an option of being an independent commie or Stalin's ♥♥♥♥♥ again. Always go for The Anti-Fascist Worker's Revolution tree if you wanna have any fun (since it's the independent path)
After the civil war you can do a fraction with other Communist nations not in Asia. But yea... you still don't get any more cores, but you get war goals on all fascist countries in Europe, Mexico and the Soviets.

And the Anarchists... are something... "Yay I can core the whole world!" 1.) No, you can't core the whole world, you can only core states that someone has arleady cores on, so no St. Pierre & Miquelon, no Sayshelles. 2.) At what cost? Spending hours watching the complience grow, and then wait even more for the pp to integrate the states.

Is the DLC worth it?
Yea, I guess? Without it, the Spanish civil war is blunt and awful, Portugal doesn't do ♥♥♥♥, and so does France.
Imo, they should make it that if you don't have the DLC, you should get a smaller, cut down version of the Spanish tree. Nacionalist and Republican/Commie path only, maybe? That way the civil war would be at least somehow intresting.
That's all :)

Sure?
Netherlands are solid but they take a lot of time
US is powerfull but the age of the DLC shows
The only good path for the US are the democratic ones, other can be fun, but ehh
UK is solid, but as the US, the age of the focus tree shows its bad sides
Every path is solid with the exception of the Communist (it just sucks)
Mexico can be fun but if tension is high the war with the allies is guaranteed
Ship designer is cool, but research is painfull
Buy on sale. You cant really skip this DLC, specifically if you play non-historical

Finlandia, Finlandia,
sinne taas matkalla oli Iivana.
Kun Molotoffi lupas´ juu kaikki harosii,
huomenna jo Helsingissä syödään marosii.
Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff,
valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff.

Finlandia, Finlandia,
Mannerheimin linja oli vastus ankara.
Kun Karjalasta alkoi hirmu tulitus,
loppui monen Iivanan puhepulistus.
Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff,
valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff.

Finlandia, Finlandia,
sitä pelkää voittamaton Puna-Armeija.
Ja Molotoffi sanoi että katsos torppas niin,
Tsuhna aikoo käydä meitä kraivelista kii.
Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff,
valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff.

Uralin taa, Uralin taa,
siellä onpi Molotoffin torpan maa.
Sinne pääsee Stalinit ja muutkin huijarit,
politrukit, komissaarit ja petroskoijarit.
Njet Molotoff, njet Molotoff,
valehtelit enemmän kuin itse Bobrikoff.
